Defender so the Realm screwed some of the characters up.
Scorpion (my favorite character) was potrayed as an evil dead ninja who was out to enslave the world. WRONG, Scorpion's just out for revenge, nothing more. He isn't good, but he isn't evil either. He's just trying to get revenge on those who took everything away from him.

And Nightwolf was messed up too, I mean when was he a computer geek who had to merge with his wolf?

Don't be too hard on them. It was a tv show made for little kids based off a video game. No way in hell it was going to be perfect. Apparently Vengeance isn't a concept we want our kids growing up enacting. ^^

That is true, but they also had a video..."Mortal Kombat: The Journey Begins" and that portrayed Scorpion just as he is in the movies and the games, "...a ninja spectre out to avenge his own untimely death at the hands of sub-zero, if not his soul will be lost forever." Why the video, which in fact was a cartoon, had it right and the tv cartoon had it wrong...who knows? I guess that the creators of the tv cartoon tweaked the characters a bit, to give them more to work with.

"Just as he is in the movies and video games"? Sorry, but he's completely different in the movies and video games. In the Journey Begins, he was like a cross between the two.
