I liked the movies but they didn't hav the proper MK stoyline. I think they should redo all the movies from scratch and stick to the storyline.

Yes, I think they should start over with the intent of it being an ADULT movie with an R rating and not try to make it kid-safe and not sell out.

The first movie was on the edge, actually on the otherside of it, but I did like the Ninja fights (the Lui vs Reptile was the ISH!!) which made the movie worth it IMO. The second movie was just donkey garbage and nothing more. I was totally disgusted with it. They tried to put EVERY single charachter in it even if only for one stupid line. That is one of the worse fighting movies (if you can call it that) ever.

I think they should scale it down and only have a few charachter from the game and not make them look cartoony with their bright spandex. A good example would be Spawn the HBO series. That rocked. (too bad the movie wasn't that dark).

part of me says no because MK1 the movie ROCKED and if you tried to repeat it, you'd flop, the acting was perfect, and the characters were portrayed perfectly. it even played with the Nimbus Terrafuax rumor (Art Lean). but the other part says yes because they fiddled with the story a little too much. Sub-Zero and Scorpion had no depth, Lui killed Sub!! wtf!!! Sonya's fight scene sucked, and Kano died. Kano was important for MK2's and MK3's story. So, my answer to your question is a modest... meh

Yup, they had Sub and Scorp as mindlless pawns of Shang. They didn't even show the bitter rivalry. Imaging how awesome it would be to see Scorpion BEFORE he died, with his family and clan, then show what happened and why he hates how he does. THAT would be character developement.

The possibilites are endless.

Also, Johnny Cage became the Mortal Kombat Champion, not Liu Kang.

Yea. I think they made them kid safe because back then I remember EVERYONE playing it, no matter what it was rated. I was about six and people would bring it to play in my afterschool, and the counsolers didn't mind. Now not many kids know about it, from what I've seen. Hell, when MK was first around, by the second or third game there was a kid's show.

But I agree with making it r-rated if they were to redo the movies. I'd love to see that grin I hope they do!!
