Does anyone actually know why MK Conquest, to date, has not seen a US DVD release? If you look around the stores you will see some very obscure TV series, low budget films and cartoon series available (that seem far less popular) being released to DVD all the time. I was just curious if there were any real reasons for its non-US release out there? (ie; legal rights, etc...)

Mortal Kombat Conquest IS on US DVD, it's just now a rare find. You can barely find it in any store now... you might get lucky if you travel to the once famous store called TURTLES, if it still exsists in your area. other than that, you gotta order it off the net... which is even more of a pain in the ass.

Thanks for the reply, but I still don't think there has been an official US region 1 release to DVD. I've seen bootlegs and imports but not a DVD release indigenous to the US. I know currently there is a petition floating around requesting such a release. I had heard something about legal issues and contested rights surrounding the producers and Turner, but I don't know if that's true or has anything to do with it.

That's a new one on me, but it can't be true though, because I do have "The Final Battle" and the first 6 episodes on DVD, all within our region. I just gotta get the ones with Kreeya on them in our region... I fucked around and ordered it while it only plays on DVD players registered for REGION 2, so you know that means it don't play in english, nor does it have english subtitles.
