Watch Man of Tai Chi. Hear me out.

We were all disappointed that we didn't get to see a movie about a top martial artist entering an underground deathmatch to face the world's top fighters and find a criminal kingpin/martial artist in his own right, all the while wrestling with his own personal demons, while a struggling police force beset by corruption fought to achieve the same aim.

Actually, it turns out they made that movie after all, and its called Man of Tai Chi.

I cannot recommend this movie enough. Keanu Reeves doesn't just put in an excellent dramatic and martial performance, he is excellent behind the camera as the director as well. And he plays the villain in this. Tiger Chen, the protagonist, is not only a great martial artist, he has a lot of energy as an actor. The fight scenes are amazing to watch and the eventual 'twist' in the ending is built up very well.

For anyone who was disappointed that we didn't get to see the movie that went with the Mortal Kombat Rebirth trailer, this is probably the closest we'll ever get. And if you just want to watch people punching each other stylishly, this'll be for you too.
