Google her. She is very similar to Kitana's 2011 look. I think she would be great to play her in the movie, if they havent already began working on it.

Who knows. We never get news about it.

Not a fan. I actually saw her in some telenovelas.

Does she even know martial arts? Does she even look like Kitana should? We don't need another miserable failure of a Kitana like Talisa Soto. Just thinking about her pathetic fight scenes make me want to vomit.

I really wish fans would stop basing their cast choices on looks. Instead, evaluate their true potential.

OMGZZZ ARNIE FOR KANO! durr

Did you see the thread hailing Brock Lesnar as Shao Kahn? That was even worse than this.

I think its way more important for the female characters actresses to actually look good. They should put looks before if the actress actually has martial arts ability. They have stunt people for the fight scenes.

Its not like its a common thing for actresses to just be martial arts experts.

Nah, not necessarily for me because if the only requirement is that they "look good" then we might as well have someone like Megan Fox play one of the female characters. I really think that one factor shouldn't outweight the other in general because I doubt it's that hard to find an actress that looks good, has martial arts experience AND can act the part. For me, ALL THREE matter.

Basically these are worst case scenarios if all three aren't a priority imo

If picked solely for looks = Megan Fox

If picked solely for Martial arts/fight choreo experience = Milla Jovovich

If picked solely for acting abilities = Natalie Portman

In my opinion, NONE of those should be in anything Mortal Kombat related and to avoid having such an issue even be an option, keep all three things in mind when either fan casting and the casting people themselves should keep this in mind as well.

And this is why you DO NOT work in Hollywood. And if you did, you'd be making shit movies like Justin Bieber is Johnny Cage.

*dead*

LOL

Yeah making looking good as the primary casting preference for these roles can easily lead to abysmal choices like that or Selena Gomez as Mileena lmao.

Or Robert Pattinson as Curtis Stryker *shivers*

She's definitely got the looks to play Kitty. She'd just need some proper martial arts training and I'd be down, provided she can act. Never seen her in anything, to my knowledge.

Actually, I think Genesis would be a good choice. She's a dead ringer for Kitana's MK2011 model (minus the razor jaw), has a killer body and is a decent actress, not the best actress but good. Saw her in Man on a Ledge and Casa de mi Padre.

If the fight coordinators can coax really good fight scenes out of Patrick Swayze in Road House and the girls in the DOA movie (bleh. but the fights turned out good), I'm sure they can work with just about anybody and have some good martial artists for the stunt work.smile

Fuck you dude. I still think Brock would be a better fit than what they have had in the past as Shao Kahn. At least Brock looks the part, and he wouldn't have any issues doing fight scenes. The only real issue would be the acting and he could still do it better than what I've seen in past MK shows and movies.

Have you ever heard Lesnar speak? He's one of those weird dudes who has a ridiculously tiny, squeaky voice that doesn't fit his huge body, like Mike Tyson.

His voice isn't Mike Tyson bad. And it really isn't squeaky. But you're right in that it doesn't exactly match his body profile.
