Okay, if you remember, or take a flashback to the first MK movie. After defeating Reptile, Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, and Kitana are walking to the black tower, talking. If you remember, Liu asked Kitana what happened to this place and Kitana said her father was the rightful ruler of Outworld. She also said that her father's best warriors lost 10 straight victories in Mortal Kombat, and then Shao Kahn invaded the realm. WTF, I thought he was the rightful ruler of EDENIA NOT Outworld. Even in MK Conquest Kitana said that her father was the ruler of Edenia until Shao Kahn invaded her realm.
My question to you all is: Does MK Conquest correspond to the MK Movie? Can someone please clarify all this up?

I wouldn't say that conquest corresponds to the MK movie. But anyways, to your last question, Kitana's father, King Jerrod, was the rightful ruler of Edenia, not Outworld. Don't depend on the MK movie for the story. As good as that movie was, the feel is still totally off. In the movie, they made Edenia a city within Outworld itself, which is totally wrong. Edenia was seperate; a world of paradise, before Shao Kahn invaded it. Kahn had already taken over Outworld in the 9th tournament. Edenia was the last realm to be invaded through a war thus ending the lives of King Jerrod and Queen Sindel, Kitana's parents. Kitana was then adopted by Shao Kahn, for 10,000 years strong, 500 of them being her trained in the mere arts of the Outworld warrior.

Now you see, I never knew that. Thanks for putting that into a perspective I can understand. Many have told me not to rely on the movies so much, because they are not based on the games AT ALL.
