no, mostly everyone liked it. It was obviously a good screenplay, hence the fact that this will actually be filmed. Regardless, I do respect your opinion.

was a whole new thread really necessary? especially one that is this negitive? anyways i'll contribute for the sheer fact that dislike it. i didn't perticulary enjoy the cheesy cliche dialouge or the strange character development. i applaud them for their effort however. just a little less cheese next time plz (whatever the hell thats supposed to mean lol).

Well, it was written in a way that you'll either like it or hate it; I think the screenwriter had balls to make Scorpion good and ally the ninjas together. IMO, it worked well. The dialogue was mixed; some was cheesy true, but there were some parts that rivalled that of the films. Regardless, I did enjoy it; Hopefully the upcoming mkand film will be even better.

Honestly dude.... I really didn't want to start a fight about anything. I just wanted to state my opinion and I wanted to hear other opinions of the screenplay. I wasn't going to go to an old thread with all of the people who praised the sceenplay and post my thread there. I thought that those people who really liked the screenplay would just ignore this post and I would recieve replies from others who share my opinion. I am sorry about the nagativitey of the thread.

don't worry about it; I respect your opinion. It's just that in most cases in this forum, negativity usually causes fights; I just wanted to give you the heads up.

I don't like fan fics neither, but I must say, mkand by far is the best MK fan fic online, IMO.

I didn't like it. TimsMK didn't like it. Aivar/Tomas didn't like it. A few more friends of mine didn't like it.

I loved it. Axdew loved it. Syko_Jones loved it. Mostly everyone at MKRevolution's forum loved it. My friends were in love with it.

exactly. i wrote mka new dawn knowing that thered be people who hate my ideas and i accept it. i can only hope that the majority simply LOVE it.

MKRevolution linked me to it a few times but I never really read past the prologue. But today I decided to sit down with it and read it out. It isn't as bad as I thought it would be, and it's definitely formatted better than that 'preview' was a few months back, but I just don't really connect with it at all.

While there are some nice elements to it, like some of the theatrical-like presences some of the characters give the script, none of it really keeps in key with the Mortal Kombat franchise; a glaring flaw in many parts of the screenplay.

I couldn't get past the odd character development and blasphemous plot (as far as keeping tone with what the games and REAL movies have set).

What little I managed to read I didn't like. *shrugs* To each their own, I guess.

I really liked a lot of things. IMO it was focused TO MUCH on the ninjas. That I didn’t like. And also the way it ended.

But overall it was very well done. 5/10

yah...i know i overemphasized with the ninjas...i took a huge risk. understand that. but theyve been screwd over so much and theyre usually the fav characters so i felt that they should be the main guys. itll be toned down in the sequel...i just wanted them to get recognition
