I think it would be cool if the story of DA and D was made into a movie.
It would be a defenate improvement on the first two films, as long as they don't hire bad actors and actually put effort into the special effects.
Thoughts?

that would be the most badass movie (if done properly of course) they should hire cool actors, and a respectful Sfx team to do a great work in the specials, the movie would rock!

It would be sweet but the only problem with that is there would be a huge gap between MKA and MKDA. For example scorpion is a pretty big character in MKDA yet in the movies, his story is hardly explained. The MK3 movie needs to recap the info and really pull things together using the story of MK4.

I keep saying, if they make a movie of MKDA and MKD, I don't want it to be live action. NO live action. I want it to be purely animated. The animation needs to be stunning (I prefer it done in the nature of Spawn: Animated Series), and no holds barred. I want the violence to come hard like it does in the games, I want it to be dark. Give it an R-rating. The fight scenes need to be electrifying.
One stunning animated movie would be awesome.
But no damn live action. And if they're going to make animated ones of MKDA and MKD, make movies for the former games as well. In fact, start with them.

An animated film? Do you remember Defenders Of The Realms? If you didn't then I'll tell you that it wasn't exactly great. They did have a animated film that was done in 3-D but can't remember what it was called.

Man, you're not understanding me. Forget all the animated sugar-coated things of the past. Those were network-made, so they had to make it for the kids. I would want these movies to be everything that Mortal Kombat truly is, and live action just can't handle that. It's gotta be animated SMOOTHLY, with a darkness of it but still stunning. Maybe they could get someone other than Threshold to do it. McFarlane Productions would be good.
Forget the past, look to the future. I would want these films to be animated if they ever made them.

An animated version could be done but it would have to be more like Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within in order for it to work and even then I'm not sure someone would want to invest 110-165 milion on it.

Speaking of animation, I think it would be cool if they made an anime style movie or tv series of Mortal Kombat.
