The first movie movie was based on MK1 story line Plus have of MK2 story line, MKA was based on MK3 with the other have of the MK2 story line. Basicly what I'm saying is they cut the MK2 story line in half. Anyway the next movie is based on MKDA & MKD story lines.(rumor)

MKA also represented Shinnok's fight against the good guys (MK4) even though it was just, bleh, with him being Raiden/Kahn's father and all.

The movies aren't set to the storylines of the games. They don't follow in any order.
In other words, they do what they want, despite.

Anyway, rumor has it that they may disregard MK: A all together. So, the next movie may be based off of anything MK2 and up(Basically anything).

hmmmm, the first movie was good for it;s time, the second movie was terrible absolutly terrible, a discrace to the mortal kombat leagacy. anyway with new technology now i think the next one will be good and i will definatly go see it. and it's not a rumour it;s the truth that the movie will be based on mk4, and the ending will basicly be the beginning of Deadly allience, because when the kill shinokk in the end of the movie you see lie kang die

I think it will be about MK4. Shinnok isn't dead, he was just banished to the Netherrealm after MKA. He returns for the conquest of Earthrealm & revenge for the death of his son, Shao Khan. Later in the movie, you find out that Khan is alive, too, and the Khan from MKA was a decoy. For more info on the Khan theory, read the thread "Shao Khan was a decoy?"

Hmmm a new mortal kombat movie. This roumor has been around for a couple or more years. If there is a mortal kombat movie coming out at all, it will be a long time before we see it. Same with the new spawn movie coming out but thats getting of topic. I agree mka was aboslutle terrible. I think the story of the new movie will be largly based around sub-zero in mk4. He will be the won to kill shinnok at the end.

Mk Devastation was supposedly to start this month but no one hasnt heard anything. I mean damn we already have a teaser poster for X-Men 3 and they dont start filming til August. But then again X-Men 3 has a cast, script, director, and most importantly A STUDIO to distribute it. Maybe it was all just hype, then again maybe not.

i think it must be based on MKDeception well quan chi in it the story begins with raiden Training with liu kang then liu will disipear into his own tomb he does not know Shang Tsung and Quan chi are behind him quan chi fireballs at him when liu was hurt shang tsung Kicked Liu kang in the back then they started fighting for Shang Tsungs Revenge in MK1 SHANG AND QUAN CHI kills liu kang then raiden taught the thing what hapenned to the crew.You KNOW Sonya,Jax,Frost, and the others one time they searched everywhere exept Goro's Lair they untied liu the every body was amazed when they see liu kang bloodshed in his chest they think its a zombie liu kang woke up and he was talking dirty about shang tsung and quan chi like that big crappy tsung or baldy bald silver body quan chi then liu kang went to shang tsungs House and attacked shang tsung and quan chi while they are playing video games they started fighting and liu kang and raiden and the other guys won then onaga invaded every realm even kangs home killed his grandfather so Moloch and Onaga teamed up with the shokan champions goro,kintaro,Motaro and named there selfs shokan combination team while they are playing video games liu kang asked everybody to ask direction to Shokan Combination's Lair then blaablablaaaa the fight begins blaaaablaaaa blaaaaa then the good guys win the movie is done i thought of it myself but the movie must be 3 hours(show comments)
