Story:

Basically Quan-Chi releases Shang Tsung from hell after he tests him in a battle against Drahmin and Moloch. Upon exiting hell they travel to the realm of Edenia and murder Sindel and capture Kitana. Meanwhile the Shaolin Temples are having a new tournament and Kung Lao has entered and we discover he has a rivalry with Liu Kang. Sonya and Jax enter the tournament for fun and Rayden is watching them. But when the Heavens is disturbed by the sorcerers Rayden warns his earth warriors and they travel to Outworld but are caught in a trap and forced to compete. Sub-Zero, who had been searching for the legendary Dragon Amulet when he was attacked by Sektor, is summoned by Rayden and Johnny Cage is brought back and they are sent to help. Scorpion, who overheard the sorcerers plans back in hell, makes his way to the tournament. From there the final battle begins between good and evil...
