MK4-MKA character appearances in the comics

Most will appear in the comic, not sure if in the game too.
I think that playable will be Tanya (90% cause of the love Boon and co have for her, after all she was named after his sister) and Bo'Rai'Cho (cause of the announced web series, closeness to Kung Jin and probable family relation with newcomer Ron Tan Cho).
If the game will have 34-36 total characters, DLC included, that means 22, maximum 24 characters from MK1-MKArmageddon. More than 24 seems impossible.
We already have :
1. Scorpion
2. Sub-Zero
3. Raiden
4. Kano
5. Liu Kang (100%, even if only DLC as big boss)
6. Johnny Cage (100%)
7. Sonya (90%, German magazine spoiler)
8. Reptile (90%, so many of Ed Boon's tweets, he's in the comic in Kotal's team)
9. Goro (100%)
10. Kung Lao (100%)
11. Kitana (100%)
12. Mileena (90%, too big of a fanbase, in many tweets, in the comic)
13. Sektor/Cyrax (100%, cyborgs still roam the Earth 25 years in the future as Sub-Zero battles them in the comic, Boon pretty much said at least a cyborg will be in the game, more likely Sektor as Cyrax's bus was running late)
14. Jax/Baraka, if not both (tarkatans are in the game as of the latest spoiler, Jax is in the comic. Nobody would mind if Jax would be left out with the other oldies and we only got their sons or daughters, but if Bo'Rai'Cho, Kung Lao, Johnny Cage and Sonya are in training Takeda, Kung Jin and Cassie, chances are Jax, who got a new design, will be in too, training his "daughter")
15. Ermac (95%, too big of a fanbase, he's pretty much a given, could have a somewhat family reunion with Kitana

I can see 16 characters battling for the rest 2-4 rosters:
2 of Sektor/Cyrax and Jax/Baraka listed above
Reiko and Fujin (big fanbase, appeared in MK2011, in the comic, did not get updated designs, may die)
Daegon and Frost (the NRS team cares for them as they appeared in MK 2011 and Vogel said Frost is one of their best new gen characters. In the comic, they might die facing tough characters like Kenshi and Frost, the Red Dragon is not among the listed factions in the online game)
Jade and Nightwolf (we know that they don't stay dead, the NRS team really likes the shaman, giving him a prominent role in MK 2011 -I don't really get why, but still..-)
Shang Tsung and Shinnok (they pretty much replaced Shang with a better version in Quan Chi unceremoniously killing him, but he may be back as he's a sorcerer+ he may be needed to stop Liu Kang. Shinnok's invasion fails, the first chapter of the comic is described as taking place after years of peace gained by winning a great war- the Netherealm war-. He probably gets waked by Quan Chi, who has the real Amulet, early on. Hope they don't make Shinnok weak again like in MK4+ can he really ever die?)
Noob Saibot (both brothers are really important to the story and I can't see one of them missing out. He's pretty much a given unless Bi Han becomes the Champion of the Elder Gods this time around, like Scorpion did in the original timeline. The NRS does these kind of changes, like they did with the Sub-Zero-Smoke cyborg thingy. If the Sub-Zero in the game is Bi Han, Kuai Liang might just sit this one out and his brother will try to bring him back to life this time, like he tried himself in the original timeline when he captured Noob Saibot after teaming up with Taven in the Arktic Temple)
Havik (big fanbase, had a cameo in MK2011)
Taven (MK2011 cameo, was supposed to be the next generation hero, with Daegon in the comic there may be a chance for him to be playable and there is a character in the background of the new stage that kind of looks like an updated version of him. I can't really see both demigod brothers in the game though, even if I would like that very much)
Li Mei (was supposed to have a cameo in MK2011, with Bo'Rai'Cho in she might make it, but it appears she was replaced by Kung Jin and Ron Tan Cho)
Kabal (probably gets revived, the Black Dragon is among the online factions)
Kira (had a cameo in MK2011, the Black Dragon is among the online factions)
The rest don't stand a chance:
Kintaro is in the comic, but no way there will be 2 DLC shokans. Sheeva is out for a long time as she was the least used character in MK2011.
Boon said Ashrah in 11 (most likely MK11, as they don't have enough room for her now). Probably Nitara may show up then too.
The Chaosrealm/Orderealm group is too far away at the moment
Boon hates Rain, he was even almost out of the 2011 game if it wasn't for fans, so he won't be in (which is a shame really, he's an important demigod after all)
Shujinko would be too old, so he's out even if the kamidogus play a part. Kung Lao looks old after 25 years. What would that make Shujinko? 100 yo? Just No.
People have referenced Kai and Sareena, but without even a cameo in MK2011, they seem to have been forgotten at least for the moment. Edited: Sareena too had a cameo in MK2011, so she has chances to be playable.
