OUTWORLD -- THE BLACK TOWER/THE EMPEROR'S CASTLE -- IN THE WASTELANDS OF OUTWORLD

The Chosen One, Liu Kang, grants himself "Flawless Victory" who is now the Champion of the Tenth Great Tournament known as Mortal Kombat, and for the survival of the realm of Earth for generations to come perhaps--the present-day savior of the realm of Earth now--Liu Kang.

Liu Kang reunites with one of his decease relatives, Chan Kang, who is his brother that was killed by the very hands of the demon sorceror, Shang Tsung, in the final battle of the previous Ninth Tournament at the Temple of Light amongst the co-existing planes of the realm of Earth and Outworld combined, or so it seems, conjured up by the dark forces of Outworld it seems.

THE REALM OF EARTH -- CHINA/THE TEMPLE OF LIGHT -- CELEBRATION

Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, and Sonya Blade with former Outworld's Princess Kitana meets up with Rayden among the celebration at a Shaolin temple in the rural part of Cambodia, China--the Temple of Light.

THE EMPEROR APPEARS GIGANTICALLY TRANSPARENT-LIKE FROM LIGHTNING--WITHIN THE TEMPLE OF LIGHT--COMING OUT OF THE TOP OF THE SHRINE

The Emperor appears from a flash of lightning right before he destroys the huge shrine, hunches over slightly and says in a gigantically dark, echoing-bloodcurdling voice...

THE EMPEROR

Rayden shoots out a stream of electricity semitaneously from his eyes, then, the electrical streams from both of his two eyes sparkles out than moves into his eyes and blazes among in the retina inside the pupils, and he then says...

RAYDEN
I Don't think so!

RAYDEN
First, you have to go through me.

EARTH/OUTWORLD -- TEMPLE OF LIGHT RUINS -- THE FORMER EARTH WARRIORS ARE THEMSELVES DEFENSELESS

Rayden tells his companions to get back before he confronts the Emperor.

RAYDEN
Stop!

RAYDEN
Step back.

RAYDEN
Let me handle this.

Rayden tells the Emperor to spare the former Earth warriors and to take him on first.

RAYDEN
The destruction of the Earth I will not allow.

THE EMPEROR
I challenge you, God of Lightning, to Mortal Kombat.

THE EMPEROR
Challenge me now to Mortal Kombat here on Earth and hope you succeed, or meet your destiny at the Great Touranment in the wastelands of Outworld.

THE EMPEROR
Or face existencelessness!

RAYDEN
You don't fool me, Emperor.

RAYDEN
Go back to where you came from.

RAYDEN
You're not wanted here, Emperor.

THE EMPEROR

RAYDEN LOOKS BACK AT THE FORMER EARTH WARRIORS AND THEN BACK AGAIN AT THE EMPEROR

THE EMPEROR
When I am done with you, your "companions" will be next!

The Emperor accepts Rayden's challenge.

OUTWORLD/EARTH -- THE TEMPLE OF LIGHT -- AMONG THE RUINS OF THE TEMPLE OF LIGHT

RAYDEN VS. THE EMPEROR. -- NO DESCRIPTION

MANY SHADOW PRIESTS APPEARS GHOST-LIKE -- FLOATING-LIKE FROM BEYOND THE SOLID GROUND

SOME OF THE SHADOW PRIESTS ARE IN MID-AIR WHILE MANY ARE STANDING ON THE GROUND FROM AFAR -- SURROUNDING RAYDEN AND THE EMPEROR BATTLING EACH OTHER

THE EMPEROR
Seize them.

The Emperor chooses Rayden as the first challenger.

The former Earth realm Warriors watches as the Emperor and Rayden battle it out.

Rayden is starting to lose his unique abilities that makes him the one and only God of Thunder and Lightning, and the Protector of the realm of Earth.

Rayden weakens and gets held captive.

THE EMPEROR

THE EMPEROR

GENERAL BARAKA APPEARS. -- NO DESCRIPTION

MILEENA APPEARS. -- NO DESCRIPTION

The Emperor declares Mortal Kombat is still in effect.

Choose your destiny!

For Mortal Kombat will continue.

THE EMPEROR
This world is at my feet and you're friends, chosen one, will die sure enough!

THE EMPEROR
And your soul will be mine.

THE EMPEROR
Wintess the "God" at his supreme glory that stands before the all.

THE EMPEROR
Nothing in this world can prepare you!

THE EMPEROR
Mortal Kombat continues.

The Emperor then says that Mortal Kombat shall be held in Outworld and not on the realm of Earth itself like before.

The Emperor and the many Shadow Priests with captive Rayden vanishes and disappears.

EARTH -- THE TEMPLE OF LIGHT -- THE SKIES CHANGES TO THE NORMAL, SUNNY SKY

SONYA BLADE
What does that mean?

JOHNNY CAGE
Yeah.
JOHNNY CAGE
I am not gonna fight that guy!

LIU KANG
What that means is that Mortal Kombat has really just begun.

KITANA
