Mortal Kombat film scheduled for 2013?

I read a few lists of up-coming movies in Internet Movie Database and noticed that Mortal Kombat (2013) was among them. While IMDb has had unreliable information in up-coming projects before, Mortal Kombat (2013) was mentioned in various lists indicating that people may have gotten evidence of its development elsewhere, too.

Upcoming Films lists a batch of up-coming films that all seem highly plausible (yes, that includes Avatar 2 and 3, ugh). Seeing how relatively successful Mortal Kombat: Legacy was, this wouldn't come as a big of a surprise after all. Just a news tidbit for you, share your thoughts.

I remember seeing that back in 2007 when it was "Mortal Kombat (2009)". It had a cast, writers and a director.

Mortal Kombat has been on imdb's upcoming list for quite some time.

When it comes to movie websites, especially IMDB, you should take what you read with a whole shaker of salt instead of just a grain. Most of what's on IMDB is purely speculation...

I think when WB finally gets out of court with Threshold entertainment and someone gets to work on this movie they need to get Tony Jaa (Ong Bak, The Protector) to play Lui Kang

A third mortal kombat movie has been scheduled (with dates and everything) for several years. In 2002, the movie was scheduled for 2004. In 2006, it was scheduled for 2007. In 2010, it was scheduled for 2012.
Same. Old. Bullshit.
