Anybody got reboot ideas for mortal kombat movies?
I found these. What do you think on how it'll go?
First Movie: http://gameideas.wikia.com/wiki/Mortal_Kombat_Reborn:_The_Journey_Begins
Second Movie: http://gameideas.wikia.com/wiki/Mortal_Kombat_Reborn:_Outworld
Third Movie: http://gameideas.wikia.com/wiki/Mortal_Kombat_Reborn:_Invasion
Like say some of the characters from MK4-MKD are in? Perhaps some will be used as punching bags. Like normal challengers.
Just a thought.

The best reboot idea is to not even bother with a reboot.
Seriously, it's been seventeen years of dicking around. Annihilation still leaves a bad taste in fans' mouths and the proposed 2011 film is - surprise! - stuck in development hell. Plus, MK isn't as marketable as the overblown superhero movies and will receive a fraction of their budget.
Basically it's going to be one long drawn-out episode of MK Legacy and I don't want that in the slightest.

To be honest, I think that a good animated series would work best for MK. That way, you can get better attention for the different characters and sub-plots as well as be able to show the special powers. Sure, we had Defenders of the Realm from the 90s, but that was just cheese. I'm talking something more along the lines of shows like Avatar: The Last Airbender and Batman: The Animated Series or maybe even something darker like that Spawn animated series.

Agreed. An animated (or, yes, a comic) series would be more feasible and decidedly cheaper to produce. Plus, you can go further storyline-wise than a two-hour movie.
Of course, it would probably be on Adult Swim.

Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network are both not currently viable places for an action cartoon to survive.
Nick removed Korra in favor of more Spongebob reruns and CN cancels everything that isn't a comedy show where the characters have noodle arms like Adventure Time.

They should let Jerry Bruckheimer direct it cuz he makes the best movies by far. He can make the special effects look amazing
