Ok so the story could follow MK 1 and 2 sorta and it would introduce the heroes. Johnny cage would be told that he is going to shoot a new movie by his "agent" and is instucted to take a ship to an island for filming. Meanwhile Jax and Sonya are military operatives trying to take down the terrorist organization Lead by Informant Kano. They could have Jarek in custody questioning kanos whereabouts and information on who Shang Tsung is. They believe he is an arms dealer so Jarek under instructions from Kano and Tsung gives then the coordinates to Shang Tsungs island so Jax let's sonya take the mission. Liu kang is seen talking with kung lao as Raiden arrives to their temple. A bell is rung and all the warriors gather. The top warriors are lined up in front of Raiden and he has come to choose the representative. The monks already have chosen so they and Raiden concur that Liu kang is the best warrior and ge is to represent their temple in MK. A ceremony is held and kang an Raiden talk of the dangers. The ceremony ends and Kang and Raiden leave leaving a brooding Kung Lao contemplating.

That intro would be like 15 min. And they'd return to Cage who. Is getting off the ship and is starting to wonder where the crew is. He is then told by a local to prepare for the tournament and he is obstructed to his quarters. Confused he asks about the tournament and is thrilled. He calls his agent to thank him for the surprise in hopes of his true talent being showcased ge would now be able to prove he wasn't a fake an his special effects were real. He runs into a few fans and then cut scene to Sonya. She has arrived and is talking to Jax and filing him in. She gets captured by some gaurds and taken to Shang Tsung he welcomes her and has a guard. Instruct her to her quarters he also tells her about the tournament. She fills in jac and vows to uncover the truth. After she leaves Raiden and kang enter and they exchange banter with Tsung. He ensures victory Raiden tells him not to e such a fool. As the warriors situate themselves a cut scene back to the temple and Kung Lao is missing the monks are worried. The tournament kicks off with an introduction. Certain warriors are seen. And the first battle begins. Johnny cage wins.

This takes about 30 min in total and we are 30 min into the movie. Sonya sneaks off to find more information and gets in a fight with Kano. She wins and tries to get info from him when shang Tsung stops her and informs her the first day of battle is over to return. The next scene shows Raiden congratulating cage and kang and he invites cage to dine with them. He tries to fill him in and talks about the warriors there such as scorpion the Lin Keui and reptile. He then tells h that it os a team contest and tried to recruit him. He succeds but cage does not believe the magic or prophecy parts. Round 2 starts and many people are eliminated and Sonya cage and kang. Are the only eart realm warriors left. Raiden recruits Sonya and Kung Lao is seen following them when he is stopped and forced to fight reptile. He loses and Raiden is angry with him and is sent home. He gets upset a d leaves on his long journey back. We are now about an hour or so into the movie and round 3 kicks off after sone more drama and doom. Before round 3 begins, Raiden tries to recruit bi Han but to no avail. Then scorpion is seen and tries to attck Shang Tsung intervenes telling them to wait til the next round. The heroes ask why they hate each other and Raiden accredits it to clan rivalry but scorpion overhears them and sighs showing signs if his past. Round 3 starts off with sub zero and scorpion and scorpion has a flashback after his family dies in the flashback he attacks relentlessly. He overpowers sub and does a fatality. Kano does a fatality and cage and Sonya lose. Final round is to take place. 1:30 and kang Is set to fight but Kung Lao hasn't left and is found wondering. He is about to be killed when Liu kang attacks. Saving him and doing a fatality on the guards. The bell tolls and goro arrives. Epic fight and then Liu kang wins and fights Shang Tsung. He makes quick work of Tsung and wins 1:50 into the movie. Heroes celebrate and Kung Lao is forgiven. Shang Tsung is being yelled at by some stranger. And he agrees to fix his mistake. Cut scene to the temple where they celebrate. Kung Lao is going to make a toast when scrams are heard and Tarkatans burst through epic fights and we are 210 into the movie. Kano appears and takes Sonya. They fight of the Tarkatans an baraka and his men retreat. They mourn the death of the temple and vow revenge. Sad scene and the credits begin to roll as Raiden informs them that they have to get Sonya back and see what shang Tsungs terms are. Some credits pass and a clip is shown. Shang Tsung and Raiden are talking and Raiden agrees to another MK. Music rings and movie ends.
