I recently got the whole collection of the Mortal Kombat comics, and I must say they are AMAZING! They are so incredible and interesting! The drawings and colors are just beautiful, the writing is so dark and mysterious, and the story ideas are just awesome! It’s so deep and dark.

I thought there were so many interesting characters and stories in the comics that were not in any game of Mk, that could actually be used to improve the story! Here I have post all the new stories, characters and items each comic book has, and when I get my scanner back (if it works), I’ll try to scan some of the best pics.

- MK Blood and Thunder Comics 0-6 (Mk1)

Objects:

The Tao Te Zhan:

This is a very powerful book that is sealed with magical spells by the Order of Light. Somehow, Shang Tsung has it and finally, after many years of hard work he manages to open the book.

It holds 7 riddles that must be solved, (when 1 is solved, another one appears) and the one who solves the last one, is granted more power then the gods, more power then Kahn. Kano steals it and then, that’s were all the fun begins.

It is in all the Blood and thunder comics. It’s basically the thing everyone is trying to save besides their own lifes, but the comics are not just about finding the book, it also has one awesome introduction of the tournament, so much story of all the main characters, so many incredible fights, and for the first time in history, the tournament is suspended...

...When the warriors are send to Outworld by Rayden (Tsung cheated and was about to kill them all, Goro magically disappears and is now in earth) in the quest to find the book.

The book is always in the hands of someone different cause many things happen in the journey. And the riddles are slowly being solved. At the end of the entire story, in the Tournament Edition Comic No1, the final riddle is solved by Goro who mysteriously appears again (more about what happened to him later, and the awesome new characters he faced in earth and Outworld!!!) and becomes the most powerful of all the living creatures.

But Tsung doesn't trust Goro now, so at the end, Tsung and Rayden join forces and steal the power from Goro and the book is taken by Rayden to the heavens. In this final battle, everyone faces everyone. Characters from Mk2 finally make an appearance and the most deadly fights are shown in amazing and beautiful drawings.

Purple Mystic floating ball:

This is how Tsung talks to Shao Kahn. The face of Kahn is in the purple ball.

New Characters:

Sing and Sang become the one called Siang:

They/him are just unique. They/him were introduced in Mk Blood and thunder comics. They are two twins from the Order of light who can merge their minds and bodies into one, becoming Siang. They are the TRUE hope of the Order of Light who doesn’t believe in Liu Kang, but they still send him to compete. Siang is the last son of the original Kung Lao.

Their drawings are just Ok, but when they transform into Siang, this character just looks awesome. Spiky green hair and magic glows, with a weird mask. He dies at the hands of Goro, but then a few moments later (Goro was fighting all the main warriors he had imprisoned with the help of Tsung: Sonya, Liu Kang, Cage, Sub, Kano, Rayden, Siang) Goro disappears by magic. Tsung attacks, but Rayden sends everyone into Outworld.

In the comics of Battle wave (more of them them later), Sing is actually still alive, but Sang his twin is dead, they merge for a last time to kill Shao Kahn, but they can never separate again. He is half dead, half alive. Sadly, Scorpion was controlling the dead with a magic stone Kahn gave him. So now, Siang is under the control of Kahn, half dead, half alive, he struggles in his mind to do the right thing.

Scorpion then sees the pain of Siang when he tells him his story, and has mercy on him at the end. They were not fighting; they are friends in the story. Scorpion then destroys the magic gem, Siang is very happy, he feels free he is distracted when suddenly he is attacked and killed, by Scorpion who wanted to save him from the pain. (More on the army of dead and the gem in Battle wave stuff)

Lance:

This is Sonya’s SF partner. He has one very AWESOME metallic arm that can get just as large as Scorpion’s spear, producing electricity at whatever he grabs. He has short brown hair and wears red tight cloth. He dies in the tournament at the hands of Kano. Then Sonya goes kicking Kano’s ass and she is later imprisoned.

Hydro:

This is Sub-Zeros Lin Kei partner. He isn’t really special; he looks like Sub, and shows no kind of special powers. He dies at the hands of Scorpion.

Grum:

Have you ever imagined Goro with 6 arms? Well, here he is, from the Outworld province of Katala, he fights Sub-Zero in Mk before the tournament is suspended. He is quite smaller then Goro, but has 6 arms and big yellow eyes with lots of weapons in each hand. He had a cool concept design, but died at by the ice of Sub-Zero.

Aynos:

We first see her when the warriors of the tournament are saved by Rayden when Goro was fighting them all (he disappears mysteriously in a glow of mystic dust, more of that later). They traveled into a portal into Outworld, Kano still has the Tao Te Zhan and plans to answer the 7 riddles to become the greatest warrior in the history of the planet.

Now, Aynos is another Sonya, 100% in everything, except the fact that she is evil. She is like a twin of Sonya, same cloth, same looks. Johnny kisses Aynos thinking she was Sonya and she attacks him, at the end, Sonya kicks her ass, then Cage helps, and they manage to escape the village they were trapped in.

- Goro prince of Pain 1-3 Comics (between the events of Blood And Thunder, Mk1).

He magically disappears when fighting all the warriors in Blood and thunder, the warriors were then sent to Ourworld (Rayden saved them from Tsung) and they are all separated in teams: Rayden with Sub-Zero, Sonya with Johnny Cage, Liu Kang with Kano. While Goro is missing, Tsung commands characters from Mk2 to find him.

Goro then appears on earth! There he faces:

Characters:

Zaggot, the Worlds Mightiest Sorcerer, god of Chaos:

He is one AWESOME character. He has green long messed hair and beard, a wizard hat and purple cloth like the shadow priests. Big ugly teeth and big black eyelashes. He lives everywhere, but we first see him in a garbage place.

He is responsible for bringing Goro to earth. He has lived more then Tsung, he calls himself “The Lord of the Rings” and “The great Oz”, he is the god of Chaos. He brings Goro only for one reason, to make Goro the King of Outworld. He has the impossible powers to create portals to travel anywhere, only he can do this, not even Kahn. He wants to help Goro, to bring chaos to the world, and when this happens, he gets more and more infinite power.

He then transports Goro into Outworld but Goro decides to act tough. Well, the wizard gets angry and creates a monster combining special qualities of Johnny Cage, Sonya, Kano, Liu Kang, Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Rayden, Tsung and Goro. Zaggot creates the one he calls “The Kombatant”. The body of Goro, with the head of an ugly one eyed machine.

A Crow:

He has no name, but he isn’t just like any other bird. Sure he is black and all, but he has amazing destructive powers in his eyes. He killed some human cops of earth that faced Goro in he first pages of the comics, with a beam from his eyes and told Goro to fallow him, he took him to Zaggot. He is a cool humorous bird, Goro almost ate him.

The Kombatant:

He has the body of Goro and the head of a weird machine. His look is kind a sucks, but he is a hell lot stronger then Goro. When fighting, chaos explodes and Zaggot becomes more and more powerful.

Abacus, brother of Zaggot and god of Order:

He has long white hair and short beard. He dresses in tight black cloth. He lives in a library, each book contains events of every world, each book has life.

The Kombatant was killing Goro but then, Goro is transported into the library of Abacus, where he explains Goro that the disturbing things that happen make Zaggot more powerful. He is the god of Order. He has chosen to help Goro defeat his brother Zaggot, for he is good, Zaggot is evil. He gives Goro an incredibly powerful nuclear weapon.

Meanwhile, Zaggot is planning to eliminate Kahn himself, since Goro refused to help him, and makes The Kombatant fight Kitana, Baraka, Mileena and Reptile. They all fall to him, but Baraka manages to cut 1 of the 4 arms of The Kombatant. Then Goro comes to kick some ass.

In Goro prince of Pain 3, at the end, Goro kills the monster with the nuclear weapon, but then faces Baraka who is controlled by Zaggot, Jax suddenly appears and helps Goro to talk to him about Sonya (Earlier in the comics, Jax came to the island in search for Sonya and Tsung told him GORO had her, that was a lie, Tsung gave Jax a stone that he had to touch when Goro was found, that way, he will transport Goro back to the island).

Jax fights Baraka and wins. Then Reptile attacks Jax and Goro helps him ONLY because he wants to know WHY he wanted to see him so bad. In middle of the battle, suddenly, Kitana, Jax, Mileena, Baraka, Reptile and Goro disappear magically, this was magic from Kahn who transported them to the Island again, to fight in the Final comic called Tournament edition No1 where the final riddle of the Tao Te Zhan is about to be answered.

But Zaggot has more magic then Kahn remember? He brings Goro back to earth to fight him. Zaggot turns into this amazing half human, half giant, half bird thing, very AWESOME, and orders Goro to fight him. Goro then remembers what the god of order said and decides NOT to fight the god of chaos.

By doing this, Zaggot (who is now looking like a beast) looses his powers, since there is no chaos; he slowly turns little and little, like an ugly baby beast bird. Goro simply grabs him and eats him. By doing this, the power of Kahn can take Goro to the island where the most furious battle is happening.

In the epilogue, we see Zaggot alive and his brother Abacus, playing chess with peaces that look like Goro and other fighters. Zaggot then swears to kill Goro at any cost. The end.

- BattleWave Comics 1-6 (continuation of Blood and Thunder, this are based on MkII)

“You are cordially invited to the wedding of Sonya Blade and Shao Kahn, a match made in heaven?!”

This ones are so awesome! I won’t go into deep details because it will take me so much time, but I will just say Shao Kahn is planning a wedding, a terrible wedding. This comis are just as great as the others! They are so beautiful drawn and colored.

The story is awesome, Kahn captures Sonya and he plans to marry her, Sonya looks more beautiful then in the other comics. We get to see her as a bride! And Kano is the one who takes her by the hand to Kahn. By marring Sonya, Shao Kahn will be allowed to enter and rule the earth realm, for such act as this wedding, is a brutal disturbance between the worlds.

We see many characters from Mk1 and Mk2 that head to Outworld to save Sonya and also to fight Kahn in Mortal Kombat.

Characters:

Bo:

He is Johnny Cage’s personal bodyguard. He is a big black men, black glasses, with black cloth and a cool hat. Johnny sends him to protect Liu Kang, for Cage’s spirit tells him something is wrong, and he is right. Since Liu won MK he has been attacked by ninjas. Well, Bo is there to help Liu and he is around till the last page of all the comics.

He helps the warriors beat Kahn in “a game” (more of that later) by traveling to Outworld. He faces some of the most brutal characters such as Goro and Henge. He has no special powers, only strength a lot of it.

Henge:

He comes from the Nightmare realm. He is a big giant, and he is made of rock. He fights Bo and Liu, Henge falls to Liu Kang’s fly kick. Meanwhile, Sonya is captured by Kintaro in Tsung’s island and she is being forced to marry Kahn. Reptile is putting a spell on her, she has a strong spirit, so it takes long.

The Dead Army and the Deathstone:

Scorpion controls them with a black gem he got from Kahn. The army falls when Baraka destroys part of the gem, called the deathstone to save a baby girl who is Outworld’s most important HOPE (more of her later in BARAKA comic), and when Scorpion himself destroys the rest of it to help Siang rest in peace, since he is half dead, half alive.

The Wedding and The Game:

At the final comic, Sonya heads to the altar to marry Kahn, Kano takes her by the hands, and we also see Mileena, Tsung (with more power), Kintaro, Goro, Scorpion, Jade and Smoke, they are looking very happy. Kahn plans fails when Sonya’s friends come to battle and he gets a very painful kick in the ass when Sonya awakes from the spell. She is the only character in the comics to actually hit Kahn. Sonya makes a challenge and Kahn accepts, the fate of the universe will be decided in a game, in the final battle of Battle wave comics, Mk Tournament Edition No2.

There are 2 teams. Shang Tsung (now with more power, looking like he does in Mk2) leads Goro, Kintaro, Scorpion, Reptile, Kano, Mileena, Smoke, Jade, and Siang. (evil)

Rayden leads, Sonya, Cage, Liu Kang, Kitana, Sub-Zero, Jax, Kung Lao, Baraka, and Bo. (good)

Both teams are sent to Outworld to find a dragon medallion. Who ever finds if first, wins the battle. I’ll just say many awesome things happen here, many deadly fights. Here is were Siang is freed and killed by Scorpion.

Also, Sub-Zero is the one who manages to get the medallion, but Scorpion kills him at the end with his “Toasty” fatality. It looks awesome how Sub is yelling in pain while the medallion burns in his hands.

All warriors go back to their home, Kahn is defeated but isn’t angry. He is planning the return of Sindel. At the epilogue, we see a group of Lin Kei ninjas trying to attack someone, but they die at the hands of SUB-ZERO! The younger brother from Mk3!!!

Sonya and Johnny Cage love:

It’s clear in the comics. There is one little extra called “Every dog has his day” that we see Cage and Sonya fighting alone and rescuing people, and kissing. It turns out to be a movie for Cage but at the end, there are some messages that let you know how they both feel for each other.

Also in the comics of Blood and thunder and Battlewave these 2 are TOO close if you know what I mean.

- Rayden and Kano comics 1-3: (Between the comics of Battlewave Mk2)

Rayden needs Kano to help him kill Kahn. There is an ancient sword called Ebbonrule that is controlled by someone evil, who turns his back on evil. When this happens, the sword and person get the most amazing powers. So, Kano accepts to help Rayden but it turns out that Kano had already a deal with Kahn (believe me, you could never see this coming, Kano actually falls a little to the power of being good).

Kano becomes a god, The god OF destruction and fights Rayden, and wins, but Rayden is sent by mistake (stupid Kano) to heavens and Kahn isn’t able to kill Rayden. He forgives Kano, for he is happy about a wedding that is supposed to take place soon. Kano is no longer a god.

Characters:

Wynd and Rayne:

These are the 2 “personal” sexy servants of Rayden. They take care of Kano (and kick his ass for he wanted to have fun with them). They look alike, black long hair, black cloth with blue jackets and some clown style of paintings in their faces.

Draxxon and Caan:

Draxxon was called many things, Soulsnatcher, The black Dragon, The dark lord. He was the emperor of Outworld a long time ago before Kahn, VERY powerful. He was killed by Caan and the magic sword of Ebbonrule.

Draxxon looks awesome. Like some BIG dead body, but very muscular (he is almost naked). With the head of a monster with a cyber mask and spikes on his body.

Caan was evil, he helped Draxxon on many victories, but with the help of Rayden he turned his back on evil and controlled the powers of the sword he needed to kill Draxxon.

Cann looks cool. Like a pirate on white cloth and that black thing to cover one eye, with a little black ponytail.

So like I said, Kano became the god of destruction with the powers of Kahn, and there was a terrible fight in the air between him and Rayden, Kano won but Rayden was by mistake, sent out of Outworld. Kahn was supposed to kill Rayden once Kano became mortal again and Kahn got his powers back, but he couldn’t.

- Baraka Comic 1

Characters:

Baby Mutant, Outworld’s ONLY hope.

It talks about how the dead army leaded by Scorpion and Kahn, are killing the mutants and a group is formed to overthrow Kahn in battle. Leaded by Kitana, the group members are: Kung Lao, Baraka and Sub-Zero.

Baraka saves one pretty baby mutant girl, who is suppose to be Outworld’s only hope, the most powerful and beautiful woman of Outworld, with powers greater then Kahn.

Baraka protects her and there is one part in the living forest that the trees are bothering Baraka, since it’s a shock to them to see him with a baby, then, one tree says “I think it is so sweet that the mutant takes a child” and Baraka takes his blade out and they all shut their mouths.

Scorpion steals her from him and plans to kill her, that’s what Kahn ordered him to do. But with the help of Noob Saibot, Baraka destroys the deathstone and the army of dead fall, and they save the baby. Noob then takes her away saying “She has a role to play in the future of Outworld”.

Baraka cries for he wants the baby. At the end, we see him running alone in the forest, and for the first time in his life, he feels alone, and decides that there are things worth dying for.

- Kitana and Mileena Comic:

Kitana discovers a hidden place when fighting Reptile and learns about her past, about Jerrod, Sindel and what happened to her world reading a diary. Kahn learns this and tells her about Mileena, that she is a clone. He says he can only trust Mileena, but not love her. Kitana refuses to love Kahn and he again erases her memory, she wakes up knowing nothing.

At the end, we see a shadow we see Mileena crying, she knows, she knows everything.

- US Speical Forces Comics

It’s about fighting the Black Dragon, they have found The KITAI. Ancient gold peaces that open portals with magic spells to a hidden place were there is a lot of hidden gold.

The KITAI:

Thousands of years ago, a tribe of islanders worshipped this object to be their holiest possession. They got it from the gods, given to them by creatures of another world. This opens a portal to hidden places where they hid their treasures. The black dragon is now stealing the gold.

New Characters:

Vapor:

Awesome character. She works in the USSF. She has long red hair and always wears a metal mask that covers her face. She is some kind of ghost that can fly and turn to vapor. She dresses in a green/gray uniform.

Mikka Stone:

Sexy, with a long brown ponytail and black/purple cloth. She fights with the Nunchacku, a cool sword. She is a normal human, but very interesting, she is kidnapped along with Jax. She works in the USSF.

Cody Finnigan:

Cool guy with a green cap like the one of Sonya in MKDA. He works for the USSF.

Torque:

Awesome guy with 2 gigantic metal arms full of everything! He has blond weird hair, red round glasses and black/gray uniform. Very humorous, he almost got his ass kicked by his friend Sonya when he just couldn’t stop talking. But she settled with saying “I get the picture Torque” more then once. He works in the USSF.

Sylence:

Cool mysterious woman. She is very white and has black lines in her face. Also, she has some kind of metal nail, VERY long and deadly. She has short purple hair and uniform. She works for the USSF.

Rojack:

Main bad guy. He has no hair and uses a red thing (Like the thing Liu uses in Mk2 the game) on his forehead and has a brown jacket. He is the leader of the team. He captured Jax and Mikka to use them.

He needs them to get into the portals and collect some gold, the thing is, sometimes the portals close and the people die behind. There are also many black dragons, but none that important. Their names aren’t even mentioned. The portals are opened using the Kitai.

At the end, a portal accidentally opens and Rojack is thrown there by Torque, along with a box that had the Kitai. His metal arm once again rips apart and the portal closes causing no more damage then some dead black dragons, a missing Rojack, and a metal arm broken.

Tread:

He was captured by the USSF but killed himself in order not to reveal secrets of the Black Dragon. Normal guy with no hair and a white shirt.

I hope I didn’t forget anything. I just think it would be very cool to use some things from the comics for Mk6.

I thought the wedding idea was simply awesome. The story of how it could cause a brutal disturbance between the worlds is simply perfect. It would be cool to see the Dragon King trying to marry Sonya, and for once, she could have a VERY different story in the games and actually turn evil.

The ideas of the deathstone gem and the riddle book are also interesting.

And we have very cool characters that could do a great Job in the game like Siang, Vapor and also, that baby mutant is SO interesting. I’m so curious to know who she truly is.
