First off this coulda been said but i made a new thread just to see what you all thought.
My opinion with the viral video (this may be a very unprofessional idea as i dont have a clue about the business) is that WB may have helped fund the direction of the vid just to see the worth of the franchise, their goal were just to see the amount of buzz they could cause with the short film to see if it was worth pumping millions into a franchise that peaked in the 90's.
What are vur thoughts on this idea

Well if the director is to be believed, he states it was his own doing in an attempt to catch the attention of WB. So, I would think not. Not to say it's impossible, but I see no reason to believe otherwise. It is coincidental that it was released so soon before e3, but that's prob. just ironic timing.

Yeah maybe the director just a massive mk fan and released it to get people interested. Still I'll give it to the mk team I aint been this exited/agitated about a game since i first saw mkda in some ps2 mag when i was 12 haha

I think its rather odd that everyone involved with this film either works for WB or has worked for WB........ just sayin.
