Raiden in MK: Legacy
Looks like he is in a psych ward from the video which includes interviews with Ed, Kevin, Jeri and Michael.. and it looks like Blue is tied up there too.
Kevin has come out and said that that episode will be the closest to MK: Rebirth, so I'm wondering if perhaps something's happened to Raiden.. he finds himself on Earth.. obviously, believing he is God of Thunder, he is locked up. And he will figure out his true identity by episode's end for the MK Movie (we are all hopeful for)

Maybe they lock him up, thinking he really is insane for thinking he's a god. But then, it turns out he really IS a god and he magically escapes from the place.

I hope that's the case.

About Me

While it might have been a psychiatric hospital in real life, I think they're using it as a set for a traditional hospital in the series. This is where they'll filming the scenes with Sonya when she is hospitalitzed.
I could be wrong, but I don't think Raiden will become as a mental patient; regarded by people as some crazy who thinks he's a God. Although, wouldn't that be something like what Marvel did in the Ultimate Universe regarding Thor?

Yep, Marvel did that. The only difference is Ultimate Thor sucks ass. Raiden rules.

I actually kinda like Ultimate Thor.
Not as much as the main version but it's a take that fit the tone of that "more realistic" universe...until Jeph Loeb came along and ruined the Ultimate books. But I digress.
I think the idea that maybe when Raiden takes his mortal form, he ends up thrown in the nuthouse because to everyone else, he comes off as a human claiming to be a god and of course that sounds crazy, is actually kind of a cool take. I mean obviously he'll end up escaping and go on to become more like the Raiden we know if the series continues into more seasons or a film.
I wonder if they're going to tell it as though he made his mortal body from scratch and is a John Doe, or if he actually possessed a pre-existing person?

Yeah, Ultimate Thor is what I was reminded of too, when I heard of what they were doing with Raiden in the web series.

True, Ultimate Thor was kinda cool until Loeb killed the Ultimate universe.
Anyway, looking forward to Ultimate Thoraiden episode.

Nah. The story of the new MK game already did a good enough job in ruining him.
