If I was with WB,

Imagine a Zack Snyder style presentation.

I would open the movie with Liu bloodied and busted up on the floor with Shang Tsung laughing above him. (Insert typical Shang dialog).

All seems lost. Until Liu looks at a concerned Raiden watching the fight. He remembers Raiden telling him "You are our last hope. You are the Dragon. so on and so forth...." (ala Mickey in Rocky 5)

Liu rises to defeat Shang in a heated contest. Liu barely wins. He's recieved so much punishment that he can barely stand and collapses when Shang yields.

Earth Realm warriors watching the fight, carry their Champion away.

Celebration...warriors recount some of the details of the first tournament. Liu steadily recovers.

OUTWORLD

I would use some of the same art as the MK2 arcade with this scene.

Shang begging for mercy. Convinces the Emporer to host his own tourney...winner take all.

The rest of the movie would cover MK2's story.

Outworld baits Raiden in accepting the terms due to the unrelenting attacks (skermishes) from tarkatans.

The climax of the film is Kung Lao's Murder at the hands of Kahn and the ultimate showdown between Earths Champion and the Emporer of Outworld. (Think Rocky 4 Balboa vs Drago) With Liu constantly pressing the much larger Kahn and withstanding butcher block bombs.

ANYWAY...this is what I would like to see.
