Actually Paul Anderson is/was doin Alien vs Predator but since that movie is just bout to wrap up he could head right into MK3 if he wanted...and RE2 isnt bein directed by Paul Anderson (since he was filming AvP)

YEa, and AVP is already done and it comes out in early August, and they DID say that mortal kombat might start filming in august....by that time avp will be out and paul anderson will be able to do MK3, so theres a chance! (cross yur fingers)!

Interesting, and I've been thinking about this myself, because I'm a big fan of PA, and I try to stay informed about his projects, and it seems he's done for now.
He was suppose to direct the DOA movie, but I think that went to nowhere. He's already done directing AVP, he's already done writing Necropolis... it looks like he's inactive, and I think it would be kickass if he returned to direct MK3.

According to my source, RE2 has been done for a while-- well, his part. Post production is just about wrapped on Alien vs. Predator as well.

Threshold said that they want Anderson back because 'it would spark interest internally and externally towards the project' (hint, Paul and Robin Shou are good friends, so if Paul is coming back mabe Shou will too).

They're offering him a lot of money for it, supposedly. And hopefully I'll find out more about it in the coming weeks.

That sounds very interesting... but it also sounds like it's going to take more time to start shooting. Oh well, we've waited so long, and I do really want Anderson back, so I dont mind waiting a bit more.

Agreed. They can take as long as they want so long as they do a good job on the movie. We DO NOT want a repeat of MK:A.

I think Paul might come back.....they are keeping MK3 in such a secret and the only one that talks about it is linden ashby since he let people know about the movie already so thresold is probably like "no one say any thing, only linden since people know hes coming back" so i think they are really going to surprise us, but with a GOOD surprise....

I hope so, i want a damn good movie this time.
