As for the MK3 movie, it will most likely pickup where the last one left off with Shinnok coming back allied with Quan Chi

If the Mk3 movie is based on MKDA (wich is very likely to happen) they will somehow bring Tsung. Probably they will show us how QUan Chi finds his grave and resurrects him with black magic to use his power of controling and stealing souls. Is a good line!

As much as I like the thought of Shang Tsung being resurrected in the next movie to enact his vengeance on Liu Kang, I doubt it'll ever happen.

As in terms of the movie storyline let Shang and Kahn stay dead. I want them to pick up where they left off where Shinnok and Quan Chi will be the villains. It is most likely going to be this way according to Threshold

I hope they bring Cary from the first movie back to play Shang. I mean he was pretty much perfect. A carbon copy of the first game but they excluded the goatee. If they included the goatee it would have been even cooler...I guess they thought the whole bad-guy with the goatee thing was kind of cheesy...But they better use it thistime around.

The dude that played Tsung in the first flick, Cary, is BAD ASS...he's as close as anyone as far as Shang Tsung is concerned, so if they bring Tsung back *crosses fingers* I hope it's the same dude

Shang Tsung died in the first movie. Let him stay dead. They shouldn't mess up the Movie storyline to bring an old enemy back. The 3rd MK movie will most likely have Quan Chi and Shinnok as the main villains. And the people at threshold said it will most likely be based on both the Mythologies game and MK4.

But didn't Shinnok die in Annihalation? I remember the elder gods making origami out of him(crappiest way to die ever)....Or is he just imprisoned or something?

Anyway, yeah Shang should probably stay dead. How about this for a suprise. Quan Chi and Reiko maybe? Since we know crap about Reiko, he could be like Shao Kahn's son or something. I dunno...The whole thing seems kind of off without Shang Tsung being brought back. I mean they seem to be exact matches for each other. Both sorcerors with a goal of godlike power and all. I mean having them team up with actual gods like Shao Kahn or Shinnok just seems like nonsense to me. It would make them look second tier. The reason the first MK movie worked so well was because Tsung seemed like the main villain. Didn't seem like anyone was pulling his strings at all. You just kept hearing rumors about this guy and no more.

I thing Tsung should be brought back. It would have an escuse for why alot of characters return. I mean we'd love to see Mileena, Rain, Ermac and the others fleshed out more and not just made 4th rate characters or something(they were almost extras).

Anyway, my main point is, for a more interesting story, bring back Shang Tsung.

Shinnok didn't die. He was strictly banished to the Netherealm. And I'm sure the creators willmake the story as interesting enough to satisfy us MK fans.

Alright, then you name someone who is an exact match for Quan Chi...A Villain I mean... I'm just afraid that any partne Quan Chi gets will kind of overpower the character. Kind of steal the spotlight. I want it to be like deadly alliance where both characters are equal threats. I mean teaming Quan with Shinnok, even though we know he would betray Shinnok, would just make him look like a lacky imo. A high ranking and powerful lacky, but a lacky nonetheless.

There is just a chemistry I see between Shang and Quan Chi...They're practically the same...I dunno. I just don't see THE Deadly Alliance working with anybody else.

You can expect Sektor, but I doubt Cyrax will come back. He was "kissed to death" by Sonya, how will he be back and how will he be united by the woman who kicked his ass?

I think that it would be even easier now to get Cyrax in there. They need help so they head back to base to salvage what the can and find Cyrax, somehow still alive. It would explain the new look. The coul use extra parts from when Jax was experimented on, making Cyrax stronger and faster than before.

Not to mention the whole resurection thing. Maybe Cyrax is resurected(by accident along with Jonhy and others) but is just trapped(see? replacing the whole desert thing already. And he wouldn't have to be reprogrammed because the whole brainwashing thing has worn off because of his "death"). This could also be a good excuse to bring back Smoke but as a ninja like Sub Zero.

They already said it was going to be based on Mythologies and MK4 but not 100%. They will have MKDA characters as well. And Shinnok did seem more powerful in the Movie then he was in the games. So He ight as well be as equal to Quan Chi or more powerful.
