Just because Swank was in the "Next Karate Kid" movie doesn't mean she can fight. Sandra Hess would do just fine as Sonya. One of those websites said that Trish Stratus was playing Sonya in this one. I hope to God & Jesus that it's not true.

I'd rather see Sandra Hess. Neither of them could fight, but she was a better Sonya. Bridgette Wilson was walking like she had a stick up her ass and she had a too rough personaltiy to play Sonya.

I think we should give Sandra another chance....i wasn't too happy with her performance, but we can't blame her cuz it was the scripts fault. I think if she gets a better costume, better story, long hair, she should be fine..her fighting skills are good, she fits the character good, i have high hopes for her.

Put Sandra Hess in a proper Sonya outfit and get rid of her weird hair, write a decent script and theres no woman on earth who could do better.


Bridgette Wilson was good but a fight movie just isn't for her I think. Fair play to her though, she gave Sonya an attitude and a killer eyebrow look and she did train for the movie. So well done for her.

That's Sonya's personality, she's not some ditsy and whining material girl. She was supposed to be tough like that. I perferred Bridgette Wilson's performance more than Sandra Hess's. Hess just acted like she came straight out of the "soaps". Bridgette had a bitchy personality that just screamed "Don't fuck with me...or else."...and if u don't believe it ask Johnny Cage see how many times she smarted off to his ass.

Sonya Blade is a Army Officer. When i watched the movie I (never for one second) never was convinced of that. I thought it was a horrible piece of acting. Also due to script but also Wilson.
