Wouldn't you Sub-Zero fans agree with me that it would be cool to have a TV show for this ninja? I think it would be great.

If you remember in an episode of MKC called "The Ice and the Snake" where Sub-Zero and Scorpion first became enemies, in the end Sub-Zero leaves the Lin Kuei and they send Smoke after him.

I think that they could have some great episodes about Sub-Zero being chased by Smoke, then befriend him and meet Quan-Chi who sends him on a few too many dangerous tasks that make him turn on Quan-Chi. More encounters with Scorpion, the Lin Kuei and even Sareena could be in it.

What do you think?

That's a great idea, sub zero's own show. It could be based on MK mythologies.

SubZero was in MKC because it was the first subzero. In the games, we've seen the fifth and sixth subzeros.

Well if that were to happen. Why not have MKC2 instead, and cover your ideas with Sub Zero, but use others still?

yea, he came from hell after sub-zero killed him in mkm

so whats with the scorpion in mk conquest?
did the tv storyline even explain it?

i know that the game and tv show storyline dont mix, but did they even bother to explain why scorpion was there 500 years ago?

1) The games and TV shows don't follow the same storyline. Thus, the show can't take place "before" the game.

2) There is no 5th and 6th Sub-Zero according to the games. There are only the 2 brothers.

The game says: Sub-Zero's father (name unknown) is a 4th generation Lin Kuei warrior. Sub-Zero and his younger brother are 5th generation Lin Kuei.

3) If there WERE another Sub-Zero 500 years ago, (as according to MKC there was, but not the games) he couldn't be the "1st" Lin Luei of 5 generations to come - each Lin Kuei would have to be over 100 years old by the time their son was BORN for that to be possible.

Example:

First generation - 500 years ago
Second generation - 400 years ago
Third generation - 300 years ago
Fourth generation - 200 years ago
Fifth (current) generation - 100 years ago

The numbers don't add up - this is the kind of headache you cause when you try to blend the game's storyline with the movies/shows. Don't do it.

Also, Scorpion's origin in that show was screwed up.

Takeda - in the games, he was a renegade Lin Kuei (hundreds of years ago) who started a clan called the Shirai Ryu, that eventually Scorpion would be a part of. This was the very first true "ninja" clan, and the techniques were soon copied all over Japan.

On MKC, Takeda is a guard working for Baron Rayland (sp?). Shang Tsung summons a magical (radioactive ;) scorpion who bites Takeda, thus turning him into a supervillain named Scorpion. Since the scorpion that bit him had the soul of a long dead warrior inside him, Takeda's body was pretty much taken over by that soul. Whose soul it belonged to is never really explained, and they screwed up Scorpion's storyline to make him 500 years old (not to mention, making him and Takeda the same person).

BTW, HERE ARE SPOILERS, THE MOST DANGEROUS ONES ABOUT SCORPION'S STORY IN MKC.

well, Subby reproduces, but Smoke? In MK games, he was human at first.

Komby, you put pressure on that MKC can't be "before" games. You should say more like, before "games". It could be "before" movies. Especially, as there exists such thing as MK movies' official timeline on MK.com, and the series and movies were done by same company (the second is the smaller reason)

in movies, since Smoke was put to chase a Subby in MKC, and since he was so ice-bloodedly killed by the scarred Sub-ninja in MK:A, I wouldn't guess they were friends there.

CGK or someone had idea for great series of Subby, him being chased by the undead spectre and avoying his Lin Kuei ex-masters, his ex-gods, so to say. Doing good stuff to gain the favor of the Elder gods.

as for a movie on Sub-Zero...you might get something like that, just don't let TTC sink and let the people who might sponsor them know, you'd really desire to see such movie. Start a petition and send it to TTC, so they can show it to whoever they want to sponsor them.

Komb, if Scorp had a new story (which didn't "screw up", you should know the series were meant to follow the movies) to allow him to be there, why not to just make him same with Takeda? Don't see anything wrong with that. Actually, it's kind of cool, but don't mix it up with Spiderman. There was this warrior, greatest of a realm. Imprisoned within a scorpion. Shang helped him to be released in Takeda's body. I don't remember anything about Scorpion being radioactive, nor did Takeda change. He was just posessed. It wasn't an accident that "the scorpion that bit him had the soul of a long dead warrior inside him". It was an agreement, the soul (who was very much alive, just trapped) agreed to. Just that he failed.
please explain what you meant with to who this soul belonged? A soul doesn't really "belong" unless it's taken, which would cause it to be inside the one who took it. And since he was controlling the scorpion, it couldn't be it. A soul is who the body belongs to, not the opposite. He only "belonged" to Shang as much as he owed him, Shang had control over him after the deal, and he would release Scorpion if he would succeed. Which he didn't. vorpax even told Shang that he would then release Scorpion. Then, she got her throat grabbed, and she corrected herself, politely adding ;) that only if Shang wanted to. Shang said he would release him after he would succeed. Which, as I say again, he didn't, so he just... went to hell or something, this was just added for the effect when he died, so meh. Not going to go over his thing with Kahn, I'd say it didn't make all very fair sense. "The Serpent and the Ice" didn't really make it look like Scorpion had an army for Kahn in here, or that he had been released by Shao Kahn before, in seeing how he made a sort of a deal with the emperor. I don't think Kahn could make an agreement like that with someone who's already his servant, or employe, whichever you prefer. Tho like it was pointed out in Shadow of a Doubt, bargain the the Emperor is not something very realistic.

And he had enough strenght left, only so his love for Perone would cause Scorpion to contact her and recruit her. With what's left of her love on Scorpion's side and her not being a popular, more of a bitch-asshole (sorry for cursing) type, she agreed. Until' she killed Sub-Zero's sister to send him a message. For that, Sub-Zero froze her, and said "one message for another!"

It would be cool if it was about Sub-Zero and Scorpion. Like for an episode: Show one part in Sub-Zero's point of view, then that same part in Scorpion's point of view. I think that would be just awesome.

That would be a good idea since Sub-Zero and Scorpion are a main fanbase in the MK franchise. But they should put more Mk fighters into the story so the rest of the fanbase might appreciate it *like myself*...
