Based on mine and my friends opinion, posts i read here, and reviews from imdb.com, i have come to this conclusion:

Everyone hates the 2nd movie.
Everyone was disappointed in it.

Which makes me wonder, what the hell was the director thinking!?

I mean, sure, it's not easy making masterpieces like the 1st movie, but that doesn't mean you have to go and make it stupid!
It felt like was watching a power rangers movie for pete's sake.

Btw: I only saw the movie once (a very small number compared to the first movie which i watched 30 times), and i forgot what happened in the ending.
Could anyone summarize the ending for me?

in the end rayden was killed by shao kahn, liu was pissed. everyone squared off with someone. liu vs kahn, jax vs motaro, kitana cs sindel, and sonya vs ermac. needless to say everyone won. kahn and liu did an animality (lmao). kahn got his ass whipped when 2 elder gods came and apparently turned him mortal. world return to normal and rayden was revived then made an elder god. end or shitty movie. credits lol

Actually, many people think MKA was awsome because it didn't have any boring scenes and it had alot more characters than the first movie.
Go figure.

Some liked it because the movie was a no-brainer; Tons of fights with a poor story.

I personally didn't mind the movie. Yes, it was a bit cheesey, but it was still an ok movie.

You can call it an ok movie, but honestly, where the hell did MK2 go? And why was Baraka in MKA when he died in MK2? And when the hell did Shinnok have anything to do with being Raiden's dad? And why the hell did Raiden cut his hair half way through the movie? And why the hell was Jade chinese? One simple answer. They slopped 3 games into one movie so they didn't have to worry about making more. There probably won't be another movie.

the only thing i can understand about mka was that they skipped mk2. even though mk2 is next in the game series. it was a very easy thing to get around when making a movie. but what i wouldve done was make the first half hour about mk2 and show why it was just a diversion for mk3. my version of mka wouldve been at least 2 hours and no "Shao Kahn is my brother" crap. lol

I don't like the name either. It's all based on Shao Kahn saying "Annihilate 'Em!" In the beginning to his extermination squads. And honestly,

I know Christopher Lambert was working on a different film, but hell, I loved his arrogant and cocky Rayden. If they took another damn 6 months to make the movie it would've been a hella lot better. No Shinnok, no crap.

Now, that movie was just shit. BUT, I actually enjoy it, I still watch it a lot of times. I mean, it doesn’t get you bored, and besides, the fight scenes are cool. The first movie was awesome, a masterpiece, the best video game based movie ever, I love it, but I get bored in some parts when watching it.
