Stacy Dash, the cousin of former Roc-A-Fella Records Manager Damon Dash, is announced to play as Tanya on the new Mortal Kombat: Devastation film, which began production this month. It was announced two days before the "Clueless, Illegal In Blue" star celebrated her 40th birthday on January 20th, 2006. Check IMDB.com for more details. Actually it's been kinda anounced for more than a year, lol.

Though I guess you're right, it wasn't exactly anounced. She had said something in an interview about playing a character called ''Tanya'' in a new movie which was the adaptation of a video game and we all just kinda guessed. Thanks for the confirmation.

Well sounds good she'll make a great part but i wish Damon Dash past girlfriend Aaliyah was alive to play someone like jade in the film.

Aaliyah would have been had a role in Mortal Kombat I'm sure, if she was still alive. She probably would have played Nitara, concidering how she did in her last movie, Queen Of The Damned. It's pretty fucked up, she plays in "Queen Of The Damned," then gets "damned" less than a month later. To Zentile: How long ago was that interview?

Well Aaliyah was 1 of my favorite singer and i will always miss her i'm just sad that she is gone but yeah aaliyah as nitara would work she was so awesome in that movie and i also agree with you on that but stacey dash to me is a great chocie as tanya!

It was ages ago. Just a little bit before the amazing release of the super fantastic fan made spectacular mk script on that...one website. Honestly that's all I remember around that time because the info came from the same site.

wow so i guess the movie is actually coming out....although im not getting my hopes up because I guarantee that someone will shoot them right back down, but yes congrats to stacy on her 40th b-day and still looking that great...looking forward to see her do sum lovely ass kicking when the movie comes out
