Threshold working on Mortal Kombat 3?
"Back in January it was announced that Warner Bros., following their purchase of Midway – the creators of the original Mortal Kombat video game, were working on a Mortal Kombat reboot, and had tapped scribe Oren Eziel to pen the script. Then in February it was reported that Larry Kasanoff and his production company Threshold Entertainment had filed a breach-of-contract lawsuit, stating that Warner Bros has “failed to work with Threshold in the development and production of the third Mortal Kombat film.”
Now here’s where it gets interesting...
As part of today’s special Marvel preview event at Madame Tussaud’s, they unveiled a special 3D short film directed by Joshua Wexler, that forms part of the Marvel 4D experience. Wexler, for those that don’t know, is the president of Threshold Animation Studios – the studio that produced the 3D animated movie. He was also the associate producer of the Mortal Kombat animated series and the writer/associate producer of 1997’s Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, for Larry Kasanoff’s Threshold Entertainment.
At today’s preview our intrepid reporter Jack managed to grab a brief interview with Wexler where he let slip some very interesting information. When asked if he had any future projects lined up, Wexler replied:
Yes, we are working on a third Mortal Kombat feature film and a new top secret project with Lego, a feature length movie.
So does that mean Warners have settled with Kasanoff? Or is Kasanoff and Threshold working on their own Mortal Kombat film outside of Warner Bros. purview? For now we don’t know, but more news as we get it..."

I've always liked Wexler, to me he was the good part of Threshold while Kasanoff was just kasanoffing around all the time.
I'm glad to hear he's doing well. Not really affected by the MK3 comments though, we keep hearing them over and over again and nothing happens.

Threshold needs to die already, I dont want them anywhere near MK again, especially after seeing the short pitched to WB, that is the one that needs to be made. Hell have you seen threshold's website ffs, they cant even do THAT properly, looks like something the wayback machine coughed up.
