A Site Update
8:39 PM MST - Shinnokxz

Hey guys. Let me start off by recommending Robin Shou's newest film, Red Trousers, to all of you. If you enjoyed the initial Mortal Kombat movie at all, then you'll love to watch this, as the fighting in it is stellar. It's a documentary based on the life and upbringing of a Honk Kong stuntman, but also showcases a well-done short film inside of it. Robin Shou played Liu Kang in both Mortal Kombat Movies. It also stars Hakim Alston, who played the first fighter that battled with Liu Kang in the first Mortal Kombat movie, and Keith Cooke Hirabayashi who played Reptile in the first Mortal Kombat movie and Sub-Zero in Mortal Kombat: Annihilation

Allow me to give you all the four-eleven on the site these days. Firstly, I'd like to get something off my chest: go read the FAQs. All the questions are designed to answer pretty much everything that I find that are being asked to me over E-mail or IM. There are rumors, but there are currently NO concrete Mortal Kombat characters returning, outside of the rather obvious one (Scorpion, which Chris Casamassa has said will return a great number of times now)--even then it isn't a sure fact.

Next, let me address all the hublub about the news this site posts. Many visitors look at this site as a steady hub for MK3 news. Unfortunately, at this point, this is not true. Let me let you in on a little secret: before I began this site, I was frustrated everytime I heard a rumor about MK3. Why? Because the 'news' came out of absolutely nowhere, and was hard to swallow. I started this site as a compilation of any rumors, facts, ANYTHING about MK3. Now you know I don't pass off anything like that as news, but I make sure that everyone knows what's currently being said about it, along with educated speculation from myself on why somethings MIGHT or MIGHT NOT make sense. Here is a current example:

Many sites-- even people-- have said MK3 will begin preliminary shooting on or around May. When I reported this, many thought that it was purely concrete news. I posted it on this site, always with the name of the person who found the news, to inform you guys the current rumors and talks about MK3. I understand that my more excited tone in posts really make it sound like everything is for-sure and the movie is coming out in 2006, but that's simply not the truth. Hey, it's another shooting date rumor. We've, what, gone through about three of these since the site as opened? MK3 is still very far away, and everything should be taken with a grain of salt.

The site will continue to compile all speculation, news, rumors, facts, cancellations-- ANYTHING about MK3-- and you can count on me as the webmaster to provide you guys with educated speculation on WHY some of that may be false and WHY some of it might make sense. Thank you.
