1. Big Budget- This isn't the farm leagues anymore. Companies are dropping 50-100 million dollars on comic book movies.
2. Better action-The action was good in MK movies, but honestly, compared to Kill Bill, or the Matrix, it's sort of hack. The standards of Hollywood action have increased so much. Hopefully MK can adjust.
3. Rated R- They really need to make MK as dark as possible, and should definitely include some some fatalities. Kung Lao's Hat Slice, and Sub-Zero's spine rip would be especially awesome.
4. Less corny dialogue- I hate when a character opens their mouth and gives their biography. That's called bad writing. More high quality writing, less power ranger dialogue (MKA was littered with this.)
5.More accurate to the plot of the game- I hate when they deviate from the game sooo much (for example, the Kahn/ Shinnok/Raiden family.)
6.actors, not stunt men- How many characters in MK were just stunt men, who had no lines, and just did Martial arts? That's not what MK 3 should have. Quality over quantity, characterwise.

But yeah, I definately agree w/ your points, and I really want MK3 to have a dark feel to it. MK1 had that evil vibe, Shang's island was awesome for that. Cary-Tagawa's acting probably helped with the vibe. But MKA, which was set during Outworld's occupation of Earth, was sooooooooo colourful! Where were the desolate streets, and arenas of the MK3 game? Did we even see anything of a city deserted and empty? -For the start of MKA, they could have had Stryker and Kabal (in differnt locations) wandering the streets, not knowing what the hell is going on, then all of a sudden they are found and annihilated by the Centaur's.
I would love to see fatalities in it, but because they want to make more money it wont be an "R" feature. I'd like it to be an R, but there are plenty of people, even on MKO, that are too young to see an R movie. So they should shoot the viloent fatality scenes, change 'em for the cinema, but release a director's cut DVD for the public.
The corny lines have to go, MKA was trying to capture the humour MK1 had, (and it really, really helped that movie) but MKA failed miserably.
Unfortuantely about the budget, well its rumored to be around $25M, although MKA was $30M. So hopefully they will use the money properly, instead of blowing it traveling around the world to shoot, like in MKA.
One last thing, put Kung Lao in the damn movie! He has one of the best character concepts of all the MK fighters, and wasn't in either movie! He was mentioned once in MK1, Liu Kang "You will challenge me, Liu Kang, decendant of Kung Lao." And he was scripted to appear as a statue in MK1 (even though in both circumstances it was the Great Kung Lao) but still, he really should be in MK3...
