Weird MK statues!!! (What r those?)

OK, remember those really scary lookin statues from the first mk movie. The statues that are in out world where Liu Kang fights Reptile....u know which ones? What are those? Do they exist, becuz i had a bad dream about those and it was scary....wat are they called.......

The statues where Reptile fell in....help please,

Horrible eh? I heard that the people inside the statues were Edenians who were thrown into those things (like reptile) and then tourtured by the Outworlders. Don't know how that changed Reptile into a ninja though?? (That fight was sooo awesome thoughgrin)

AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! wow!! YES THOSE! They are really creepy lookin,but perfect for mortal kombat....they are soo cool, but im scared, one time i had a dream that i was trapped inside one of them, and it was scary...it was so realistic, thats y i gotta know...do they really exist?????/

No, fortunately. They do not exist.

As far as how Reptile transforms into a ninja after being thrown into one of them, I think that, since he's got somewhat of a mystical chameleonoid power, the...thing inside the statue (or the statue itself?) accessed that power and translated it into his metamorphosis into a bad-ass ninja.
