I've been told by numerous people(not sources, people) that filming was suppose to start this past month for MK3.

Well... anybody? Anybody at all? Can somebody tell me something about anything concerning mk3, because if they had started shooting last month, then word would have gotten out, and probably be accompanied with some tight information. This brings me to two possible conclusions:

A) Filming for Mortal Kombat 3 has started and the creators are so awesome that they've been able to keep every possible tidbit under wraps, including the name of the movie. I doubt that.

B) The movie is still nowhere near being started because no one wants to touch the project with the exception of a director a few execs.

I want this movie to be made, and I want it to be good, but I just don't see it happening. Something would have leaked out by now if they were knee-deep in the works for mk3. If this post came off harsh, I apologize, but I'm losing hope. I'm not saying it will never happen, I'm saying that it will probably take an extremely sucessful release of mk6 late 2004 to make enough film producers give a shit about another mk film.

Or maybe I missed out on something. I didn't make this thread to make myself look skeptic. I did it so someone could tell me wrong. So please, do me the favor and tell me that there is some truth to what we've been told over the last few months.

Sorry to say...there is none...I would love a third MK movie, if it was made correct, and at least as solid as the original. MKA sucked bad, so I'm not upset if these delays help make the movie more solid.

Now this part strikes me as interesting...

You might be on to something there Temp. It's possible they may put a huge promotional machine or better yet make the MK fans happy with the next game, to see how a movie would do....

Yeah, MKA was pure lizard shit, but I was impressed with the first movie. I guess we won't be seeing anything for a long time. Until they release a working title, I don't think we can take much other information all that seriously. But I have high hopes for mk6 so I guess we'll see what happens.

The only thing I consider 'solid' is the guy that played Cage said he's lookin at the script. And even that isn't that solid. And mortalkombat.com sucks balls, I could care less if they say 'Submit idea's to the producers'....by the time they update that site we'll all have computer monitors in our eyelids....I really do think that if MK6 (or MK5 depending on how you look at it) blows up, and with online play it very well could, we'll see a 3rd film. I'd say this games success will decide the movies fate...

I just want ANY BLOOD in a Mortal Kombat movie. Interesting also fanartists don't much violence and I know only one guy doing gore.

He's Japanese, yet fascinated by a a Western comics and the Spawn in particular... (he's got a website somewhere over there).
