It was a horrible movie. I was pissed that I spent 10 bucks to see it.I passed out midway thru MKA anyway, so at least I got some sleep out of it.

yeah, that really sucked. Sheva wasn't even really on the bad side. There were A LOT of flaws in this movie...

yeah they messed up raelly bad on that one. i heard they even used footage over and over and crap like that.

Sheeva was originally going to fight.
I think she was going to fight in the Edenian temple against Raiden and Liu Kang, but they cut the scene because it would have cost a $million to do because of her arms.

It's a shame really, because I would think it would have been one of the only saving graces of MKA (wouldn't have improved all the other aspects of the film, but it would have possibly added something positive to it, as her arms weren't that badly done).

I was pissed when Johnny Cage died way to early and it was by Shao Khan. He was suppose to die by Shao Khan's death squads.

So really he would of died fighting his heart out. It would of been a lot better to have that in the movie. It would of been better to see Johnny Cage get out numbered and died then seeing a one on one death.

I can't wait till the third movie comes out when Johnny Cage comes back.

I was pissed at the final fight between Kitana and Sindel!!! they dd not use any tradmark techniques!!! I mean, we only was kitana's fans ONCE in both movies!!! ARRRGGG

I liked Goro VS. Cage though, because Cage was not strong enough, he had to use his sped and brains to beat goro, that's why they kee it short, it's not a power struggle kind of battle.

yeah mk movies werent that great. mk 1 was pretty good but i didnt like the fact that goro, scorpion, original sub-zero, kano, shang stung, and reptile all get killed off and arnt brought back for mk2! then in mk 2 johnny cage, sheeva, sektor, ermac, and some others i know im forgetting are only in for about 10 seconds b4 there gone for good! the mk movies really went the wrong way! they should of copied the games exactly! now that would of been a great film franchise!

yeah i know. they always kill the bad dudes that are cool. now they wanna bring cage back. why don't they brink ermac? or reptile. they could use the dragon king story in mk3. yeah i really wish the movies were more like the games and we'd see more signature moves.

in addition to the list of wasted characters, noob saibot, i believe, came out of ermac and started doubling on sonya who was eventually wasted by jax with a few punches.

also, two other characters - kabal and stryker - beat the 10 second record: it was only a second! and they were only MENTIONED by rain that they have been captured...

at least the producer knew he was messing up the movie...that's why he distracted our attention by making kahn take out his mallet for the first and only time to waste rain and take him out of his 10 second misery.

There could have at least been a scene showing kabal and stryker swimming with life jackets in the lava to give them more camera time. Or even have raiden take out a gun and tell liu and the others to bow to it because stryker just died.

well the cool part is that the makers of the new movie have said that they are totaly disregarding the whole second film so johnny cage sheeva rain stryker kabal and all the others who died are really still alive and will be in one of the upcomeing movies

I wasn't pissed when Johnny Cage died, but I was pissed when I saw the movie. It was positively the worst movie I've ever seen. Ever.

Cage vs. Goro didn't bother me. After all Cage wouldn't have stood a chance in an extended fight with Goro. However MK:A did piss me off for several reasons
1.How come Shao Kahn looked totally different to how he did at the end of the first film?
2.The super hot Bridgette Wilson-Sampras was replaced by some unmemorable blonde.
3.Christopher Lambert wasn't Raiden. The new guy was an OK actor, but he lacked Lambert's charisma.
4.Johnny Cage got killed off in like 10 seconds.
5.They tried to cram in too many characters, most of which couldn't act.
6.If Shao Kahn was the emperor how come he was taking orders from this old guy (I think it was his father)?
7.Sheeva had the quickest death ever.
8.Those wee tunnel things. They were stupid

Mortal Kombat 1 is one of my favourite films ever, but MK:A was awful pure and simple.

Last night I watched MK again, and got irritated by Wilson. She doesn't have any form of military training in her body, she cannot fight, she looked horrible and she really cannot act.

In her fight with Kano she tries to kick him, twice she loses her balance, her fighting stance in the fight with some guards she looks like a real beginner, nobody would stand like that in a fight with her back almost horizontally. To be honest I didn't like one thing about her in the intere movie.

She was a last minute cast and didn't have much training before the movie started. I wasn't watching the movie you watching though, the one I saw, Bridgette was SMOKIN'! I think she'll get more training in before MK3 comes out. I also thought she did a good job as Sonya. Better than Sandra (who also did a good job, but not as good)

That's why she was a bad choice, why not pick a actress who can fight, then a actress with a name and can't fight her way out of a shit house?

Mortal Kombat is and will be a movie about fighting.

We're talking about Hollywood. Why would they get a girl who can fight when they can just get a pretty face. That's what movie-makings all about *but like I said, sarcasm aside, they could train her, which I think is better than casting ANOTHER Sonya*...

And that's why i think Hollywood is getting weak, it's not anymore about the best people for the job. Anyone with a little fame can get cast for a role in a movie. And I do not understand, there are hundreds of woman out their who can fight and look way better that Wilson. My choice would have been the original Sonya, Alisabeth Malecki.

I found that casting Sandra Hess as Sonya in MKA was a better choice than Wilson, Hess was a American Gladiator winner, although she wasn't the best actress she could have been better coached by a deacent director

i do think the fight w/goro should have been longer, but if you think about it how long could the fight be? if johnny was fighting him for a long amount of time he probably would have lost...well maybe, who knows

I actually liked the fact that she could not fight much... It gave Sonya a very different personality from kitana, who was much more of a warrior. It also added to the fact that sonya was a normal earth person... no reason she should be a super fighter like Liu, the Chosen One... PLUs in the story sonya doesn't fight much... just kano and a couple of henchmen.. then she is pure attitude... somethin Bridgette did very well...

And why do you think Rayden chose to lead these three people if Sonya can't fight for sh*t.

Sonya is a military woman, and if you look at the games a capable woman. I didn't see that in the movies.

anyone find it funny that they completely changed Sonya's outfit from the end of the 1st movie to the beginning of the 2nd movie, from like that leather Xena like thing, to a white top and shorts, when the 2nd movie was supposed to be a continuation of the 1st one?
