If the next film were to based ONLY on MK1 with bits of MK2 thrown in what would want to see? e.g:

-Who's fatalities? any Stage fatalities?
-Characters?
-Speicifc fights?
-Locations?
-Gore level?
-Music?

Any thoughts of wishes on what you'd love to see?

I'd personally want:
-Sub Zero's head rip fatality
-Sub vs. Scorp
-Lui Kang vs. Scorpion
-Most if not all of the locations from MK1 and half of the MK2 stages

Also I don't think Kung Lao should be in the film because there's already a leading asian character and I think it would confuse audiences - if you think about it they'd be too many good guys, which is why i think Jax should only have a small role, there'd already be - Lui Kang, Cage, Sonya, Rayden, Kitana

For the most in-depth, in-detail, Mortal Kombat lore analysis vids, there's only one source:

If Kung Lao would be in, a good fit would be as a cameo during any schene where they're showing Liu Kang's home, the Shaolin Temple. Either that or show it MKSM style where he sneaks into the tournament disguised as a Masked Guard, that was pretty cool.

Or japanese, since Rayden is based on both chinese and Japanese mythology. Though if I could pick someone, I'd be James Pax. Watch this video of him, he arrives last of the Three Storms, he was also partially the inspiration for Rayden: Here it is.

W.E the guy from the first movie is still the best raiden and just cause his character is based on stuff from other countries doesn't mean he has to look like that.Plus if you are marketing the movie in America its probably best to have American actors in it that way people have a interest in seeing the movie other then fans of the series cause that wouldn't make a lot of money if it was just the fans going to see it.

But anyway,I'd like to see the bottom of the put with dracula laying there dead and I am being serious. And umm actually no thats it and you can actually keep reptile the same from the original movie.

all i want to see is:

1)original MK1 cast of characters(not the same actors, but the same characters)
2)fighting scenes with the same "Donnie Yen's Flashpoint" style, where a punch can make your mouth or nose bleed, where the fighters keep on punching without any pause and without giving the chance to respond, full of violnet hits, ground grappling(of very low lenght but huge intensity) and a "desperate" style which gives to the fighting scenes not an agonistic or comedy/non-violent style, but a true "fight to survive".Robin Shou was good in this in Tiger Cage 2.
3)well explained personality, attitude and introspections of every character, not only for the trio Cage,Kang & Sonya.
4)bring back the old tecnho music
5)make homages to the previous movies ncluding trivial stuff(like posters, photos, etc)
6)take all the time they need to make this film
7)a wise choice of actors
8)more oriental style..for example the tournament arenas have to resemble to the fighting arenas in "Bruce Lee's Enter the dragon",or better must resemble to MK Shaolin monks atmosphere
9)add gore and splatter in it,and don't give a damn about censorship and rating...make it 18+

have to agree with all the above points. Censorship especially ruins perfectly good films that would have been better with more gore. As the MK games are all 18 rated games. And the fans of the classic and newer games are generally now mostly over 18 (I personally feel those who were born before the release of MK and MKII cannot be true MK fans - they didn't feel the magic of its release)
