The first one because it sticked with the storyline and characters of the first MK game closely with one or two execptions. MKA was good in all departments execpt the storyline. It's like they tried to fused the MKII and MK3/UMK3 along with a dash of MK4 storylines together as one. The story makes the movie. A bad story drags everything else with it to hell.

R u sure about that?

What about the terrible acting, awful costumes, shit editing, bad dialogue, crap jokes, unenthusiastic actors (besides Jax), garbage special effects, Smoke with missles, the 'monster' that ate Jade and the number one worst part of MKA - the ANIMALITIES!!!!! Kahn's, Kang's and Nightwolf's are by far the dumbest part of the entire movie, along with the Raiden/Kahn/Shinnok family thing.

I actualy don't hate MKA as much as other mK fans do, but it was sooooooo disappointing after MK1. I thought the fight scenes were good...

All the jokes, dialouge, acting and animality issues comes back to the bad script/story. I'm not sure but wasn't John Tobias involved with writing the script. Could he not do anything about it and said "Animality's sound great but it just won't work and let's take out Shinnok because he is not involved with Khan in any way". If he was involved he should have done something, I need to see the credits again to see if this is true. Still I do like MKA.

Wasn't John Tobias the Co-Creator of MK?
John Tobias was involved with writing the script along with two other people.
One would think if John Tobias was involved with writing the script it would have had been better than it was. Get it? But going back on topic most would say MK is better than MKA. The votes are lopsided.

MK A sucked so hard it should be called MK II the Vaccum straw suck ass movie.
This is a hard thread to answer.....of course MK1 was the best and i liked it much more, im not giving reasons but MK:A is not a film in my view, its a disgrace to the MK franchise.

MK1 by far. Possibly the most successful video game to movie translation of all time. Anhilation was the same kind of jumbled, incoherent crap that most video game movies end up becoming.

I agree. The MK game to movie was one of the best video game-to-movie adaptation, but yeah, MKA was pretty bad. I still liked it though cause it was MK, I like anything MK.

1. Simply better.

Linden Ashby, Christopher Lambert, and Briddgete Wilson were not in it. ENOUGH SAID!
