Yeah out of Sandra and Bridgette I would definitely like for it to be Bridgette, but as stated she needs to do better in the fights.

And as for Cameron...well those are just some of the parts she plays...with her character of Natalie in the CA films she showed that she could be utterly clueless and an then in the next blink be deadly serious and well just plain deadly...that's why I suggested her. But Bridgette is my first pick.

Well Kerri Hoskins was in the live mortal kombat tour, wasn't she? So I'm pretty sure she could act! For me, its either Hoskins or Wilson. Hess just ruined the second movie for me. And Cameron Diaz is kind of wierd looking. She used to be beautiful when she was in The Mask, but now she's lost a lot of weight and she's too skinny. Her smile takes up her entire face!

There was a rumor that Hudson Leick who played Callisto from Xena Warrior princess would be up for the part but I seriously doubt it. Although she would be just as perfect as Bridgette Wilson, because she definitely has the attitude, fighting skills(which are even better than Bridgette's), and look. Bridgette in my opinion should be the Sonya in MK3, as she should've been in Annihilation. Sandra Hess just didn't have enough kick butt attitude like the Sonya from the first.

i was at first wanting Briggette back becuz she has been the best Sonya, but briggette is too chucky and has big cheeks for the part and she cant figt, i think sandra hess is ok and maybe they shud give her another chance, but this time they need to give her a better costume and she needs to be alittle bit tuffer

I don't know...I'm not really liking Sara for the role of Sonya...don't get me wrong she's a good actress, but Her look is all wrong. 1st, Sonya isn't old, but threre's no way she's as young as Sara is. So that's the biggest strike against Sara right there...she just doesn't fit.

Also she can be trained pryor to filming this time. Her fighting looked weak in MK1 b/c she wasn't trained at all before the movie. Don't you know she was casted at the last minute?
When it comes to fighting ability here. I found nothing impressive about Sandra Hess' fighting in MKA. It all just looked like simple moves Bridgette could've/would've done too if she had been trained before the movie.

I found Bridgette more impressive as Sonya anyway, not just b/c of the mean girl attitude... Also b/c she resembled the character way more than Hess did! I'm talking about her facial appearance. Hess looked more like some scared little slut who didn't know how to act. All she really did was make a fool out of Sonya. Since she also failed to bring out the portrayal Wilson brought into Sonya, it felt like watching a different character with the same fu--ing name!

Sandra Hess, because all she needs is the right direction, and the right lines.

Also, I hate it when they change actors, and I certainly don't feel like watching Bridgette Wilson make a fool of herself by having 'fight scenes', especially since Liu Kang is probably gone, Sonya will most likely play a much more important role in the movie.

Maybe you think that but, Bridgette Wilson did a good job of portraying Sonya, she had the best attitude in my opinion...True Sandra Hess had the best fighting skills, but she had a very feminine and to say the least whimpy attitude. Bridgette Wilson was casted last minute, she didn't have much training true, but this time if casted in the proper allotted time, she could really make something of herself. It also depends a lot on the fight choreography. So to say that Bridgette Wilson made a fool of herself with fight scenes is not only harsh, it's just downright not true.

I think Bridgette Wilson should play the role of sonya. Bridgette portrayed sonya as a strong independent woman who didnt let anyone stand in her way, not even the men. She was also very sexy. Her fighting wasnt very good, but with a bit of training she could be better. Sandra IMO dumbed down the character with her acting. Yeah she could fight better but still didnt do a good job. Anyways if Bridgette doesnt star as sonya, they better choose Sandra.

How about Victoria Pratt for Sonya? In the shows I've seen her in she looks to be a very capable fighter, she's beautiful and she appearst to be around the right age. Take a look: She get's my Vote!

Bridgette was great as Sonya as was Sandra! I don't know which of them I'd choose to return to play her role.

I like the choices peeps have made here. Cameron Diaz would be great as Sonya! Hudson Leick would be the best one for the part though! She is amazing! Uma Thurman would be great but I think she's a little too old to be Sonya, but that doesn't mean she wouldn't do a good job.

As I've said...Hudson is a very good choice. But What do you think of Victoria Pratt? (See Pics above) I think she'd be perfect as well..cause BOY can she fight! And she looks good which is always a plus.

Of the names mentioned so far, my vote goes for Bridgette Wilson. She has the acting skills and looks for the part. My only concern is the fighting, but like it already has been mentioned she can train.

However there is one actress I'm surprised hasn't been mentioned yet or if she has I must have missed it....Cynthia Rothrock. She's has the fighing skill, looks and acting experienced needed for a Mortal Kombat movie.

However, I think I'm gonna stick with Victoria Pratt. She's Hotter!
