this gives more time to explain each characters reason why they are involved to make people understand who dont play the game and not crame everything into 1:40 hours with over 20 characters shown for split secs understand what im trying to say

Although i would prefer to last an eternity!

Sub Zero and Scorpion should return and the fight scenes must be at least 5' each.

I don't know how long the 1st MK was, but I can assume it was an average 1 hour and 40 minutes. Given its time the director Paul S Anderson did a great job molding MK1 into a movie. Its a given some things had to change in order to keep the flow of the movie going. MK1 the movie focused on itself, meaning it captured greatly what was Mortal Kombat the game was about. Also within the 1 hour and 40 minute time even if you never heard of Mortal Kombat before you understood who where these characters and why everything happened unlike MK2 the movie

Mortal Kombat 2 the movie on the other hand tried too much. The director thought he could get alway with cramming near half of the MK cast from MK2- MKT and make it a story. That was a big mistake on his part. He should have just focused on what happened during the MK2 time line. Whats to funny about MK2 the movie characters from the MK world just appear without a good reason , if they do appear they just seem to fight without a good reason.

In the end, it doesn't really matter the length of a film is as long it is a good driven storyline, interesting characters, and written script.. With all of that you can fit that and more into the average movie time.

I think it could be a little longer, and i think they could do Ok without having Lui Kang win everything by himself, get the new blood of characters in the game, get the new mainstream people like Li Mei and Havik in there im sure it wouldnt kill anyone to not see Kitana Or Lui Kang for a change.

While I'd like to see a three hour long movie, I have to say that it'd be incredibly hard to do with the budget they have to do it with. Every single thing Raiden does, for example, would have to be toned down. Animation would be more like MKA than the original movie, and I don't know if I could take that kind of abuse.

I think a two-hour-fifteen to two-hour-thirty would work a lot better. Three hours is too long, but we all know what happen's when the movie is too short. It doesn't have the proper time to build itself up, and the climax falls flat on its face.
