Kung Lao vs Liu Kang--winner Liu Kang. Not only is Liu angrier than Lao but learned animality. Kinda hard to beat someone that can change into a dragon.

Siro vs Johnny--winner Siro. Most likely Siro was taught from early childhood how to fight not only to defend yourself but to kill if needed. Unlike modern American schools where martial arts are usually treated more as a sport.

Mika vs Sian--No idea....can't remember who Sian was.

Rain vs Ermac--Since both were nothing more than background characters no idea.

Since MKC is taking place before MK1 to my knowledge I would say none of its characters would stand a chance. Martial arts evolved throughout the time so there really wouldnt be technical equality.

Cage was trained by masters all around the world, so he wasnt a McDojo student.

kung lao(mkc) or liu kang(mka) - I've also considered Kung Lao to be such an awesome figher in the show, and same for Liu. Obviously martial arts have evolved over the years as someone astutely pointed out previously, but I think from a ''simpler'' point of view of things, Kung Lao would beat Liu Kang. I guess Lao just entertains me more in his fights in the tv show than Liu does in the movies. I understand that's not the question at hand, but what the heck.

siro(mkc) or johnny cage(mk) - Tough one to call... two of my favourite characters. I feel Cage is more limited in his moveset than Siro, but Cage just knows how to kick ass, like he kicked Scorpion's. They're both very resourceful, Siro can turn anything into a staff and Cage slashed Scorpion's head off after spearing him (ironically, Scorpion's own spear had been replaced by a serpent creature in the movie). I'd give Cage the victory, because even though they're both warriors filled with tough pride, Cage is more cool about what he does and wittier.

mika(mkc) or sian(mkc) - I think Siann was always the toughter of the trio, even though Mika was featured more. Siann almost had Kung Lao killed (even though it had been three on one for most of it, Siann did have the upper hand towards the end and handled herself quite well). Also, blondes are over rated. Siann wins.

rain(mkc) or ermac(mka) - What a joke of a question! Ermac was an idiot in the movie. Just plain idiot. Rain was a total badass in the tv show, I loved him in it. Hell, he had Kung Lao beat. One on One, Rain could've killed Kung Lao, he never even did anything that could be considered ''cheating'' or ''dirty tactics''. AND he only utilized his lightning bolts in the very end to put Kung Lao away, thus injuring him greatly. Siro came in to save Lao, and chased Rain off, but Rain had the champion beat. Rain was one of the top five if not top three fighters of the show, no doupt.

If nobody's doing more... how about these match ups?

Rain (MKC- Please, pay attention, MKC, not the wuss version from MKA) vs. Scorpion (MK).

Sub-Zero (MKC) vs. Liu Kang (MK).

Siro vs. Cyrax? Sounds easy to call at first, I know, but think about it. Are Cyrax's weapons and technology all that different from the dark sorcery that Siro has faced in MKC? Think about it.

the sub-zero from conqest was a lot better then the sub from the film i think liu would still win,
