Can anybody tell me why they skipped right over Kintaro in the 2nd Mortal Kombat movie and went right to Motaro instead?

Kintaro IMO is the most interesting and least known about of all the bosses. I think he deserved a spot in the 2nd movie.

Motaro was a good sub-boss, but I think Kintaro is better. Maybe in the 3rd movie, they will add kintaro, because it will be a secuel to the first film. I think a lot of people want to see him tongue

But all the MK noobs (gotta love em) only know Goro. I'm playin MK2, they're like, "Is that Goro?" I'm like no it's Kintaro, they're like, "Oh. I only know Goro cuz he's that big 4-armed guy. He was cool!"

I personally believe Kintaro is the most underrated and underappreciated boss in all of MK.

He is not only the strongest and most powerful, but also the most ruthless and vicious. He'd kick Motaro's ass with ease and would probably overpower Goro.

I like Kintaro, I think he was the best sub boss personally. But I think Ed Boon himself said somewhere that he didn't really like the character. The gist of being that it was due to Kintaro's final design being so different to what they originally wanted (a weretiger, which they couldn't do in digitised form), and they rushed him. So he's never really been happy with the guy.

Kintaro is also probably the least developed "real" MK character (not counting extras or spinoff characters) in the series. He came as Kahn's bodyguard replacing Goro for the second tournament, and may have been killed by Raiden (this isn't certain). That's it really, I'm sad to say.

I think since johhny cage is coming back, Kintaro should go after him for killing Goro (they could say Goro was Kintaro's cousin). Then Kintaro can fight Cage. Their battle will be so brutal that they both die after giving respects for their fight. The death can kill off Johnny cage and Kintaro and then have Goro shown (after explaining where he landed after his fall) standing in the Palace watchin the cremation of Kintaro. Kitana approaches Goro and offers a truce.

I never even noticed that the producers skipped the second Shokan... wow
Bastards! Kintaro owned! Midway should be proud of how he turned out, I think he looks better than other "developed" characters... He is a ruthless psycho, definitely stronger than Goro and is a must for the third film. wink

I HATE Kintaro. He has the lamest design I've ever seen, he's uninspiring because Goro was already the established four armed guy in MK, he's annoying and he has close to no storyline or relationship to any other characters. Rain, Ermac, Kintaro and Sheeva are far deeper characters than Kintaro (who sucks).

Rain and Ermac got movie time. Hell I'm surprised Ermac got as much as he did considering Rain's demise. But I wouldn't mind seeing Rain come back. Since he was once one of Kitana's friends. Could lead to a love triangle between Liu, Kitana, and Rain. Sheeva.....nuff said. Kintaro should be given a chance for the movies...and Sektor while they are at it.
