I'd agree if it was based on the old timeline.

The first series of episode could even be during the Great Kung Loa days and the start of the rise of Shoa Kahn. The Fall of Edienia could be a small movie base story, similar to what they do with the other great anima series.

Eh, I'd prefer if they touched upon that stuff in flashbacks.

They already did...it was called Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm. Not the best cartoon in the world, an ok Sat/Sun morning show to watch while wearing PJs and eating cereal.

+ Yes. Make an anime series that is notorious for monotony and bad pacing due to the overdemanding of execs from the author to serialize MK. Brilliant.
DBZ was better when it was called YuYu Hakusho and less stupid.

+ Bad animation and stills also contribute to the style of DBZ. I want to see 9 episodes of Sub saying just how he is going to tear out Scorpion's spine. Without any action that is.

+ Do yourself a favor and forget about DBZ. Go check up on Fist of the North Star aka Hokuto no Ken. Then grow another pair of balls, because DBZ is nothing compared to that feast of MANLINESS.

Dragonball Z style would definitely fit MK due to the show's fighting.

Kung Lao as Tien (voiced by Android 17)
Johnny Cage as Krillin/Yamcha
Sub Zero/Scorpion as Piccolo
Rain as Vegeta

Shao Kahn as Frieza
Kintaro as Nappa

but Chrome, its their duty to spread the word of DBZ and its gospel of steroid muscled men with huge fireballs of DOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM and overly long speechs of DOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

Just personally, I would hate to see MK Anime.. I think that's not MK's style.. in terms of animation, so it wouldn't mesh.

As much as I didn't mind watching MK: DoTR.. it never REALLY felt like MK..

DBZ was never calld YuYu Hakuso.

I honestly like Dragon Ball better than Dragonball Z or GT.

Easy, nobody wants to see a fight where the majority of the time the kombatants are powering up.

Obviously it was not. But just research what YuYu Hakusho is. And you get the answer why.

DB was good. Humorous, funny, easily entertaining. DBZ has none of that since it was dragging on and on, and it shifted into something other than goofy martial arts and mythical quests.
