A very bad idea!
I keep on have nightmares because i've spent to much money to sse Final Fantsy on cinema!
I want real actors,i want Sonya and Johnny Cage portrayed by Sandra Hess and Linden Ashby.I want to see human being ators.
And i hitnk(read:hope) that a lot of people wants a movie with actors.
I want also a splatter/gore movie and a long during movie(at least two hours) and a lot of fights and also a good number of characters just like Annihiliation but with more space for them and more dialogue lines and more time in screen.

dude.........a cool animated movie that looks like the intro to MKSM or MKA would be freakin awesome, but so would a movie with real actors.....I could really give a sh** less man you know, I just wanna see MK in one more film, dont care if its animated or real, BRING MK BACK TO THE MOVIE WORLD PLEASE THRESHOLD!!! I don't think it's such a good idea. MK is not the kind of story I would like to see in an animated series/movie. I rather seeing real actors portraying the characters.

But think of how good the action would be. There could be actual fatalities and special moves and just like when Li Mei got impaled and Shang Tsung shot his fireball. It would be nice as shit to see a movie like that.

I reckon it should be done with real actors but animation is not a bad idea though! They could still do the fatalities and think how gory it would be! A bit of blood never hurt anyone! Don't over do the special effects like in the last film though because I thought it ruined it a bit!

Streetfighter had a manga movie, it did much better than that crap with JC van Damme. I would like to see mortal kombat in CG.

Depends on the animation and kind of movie. If you're going to make it as realistic as possible use real actors with some decent special effects. Now if you're going for a more fantasy/sci-fi look then an animated movie is the better choice. For some reason it seems to be extremely difficult to pull off a really decent looking fantasy/sci-fi movie without spending a fortune which they don't have. The first MK movie almost pulled this off. If it wasn't for the Scorpion/Sub-Zero outfits. Would have been better if they did to them as they did with Rayden and Shang Tsung by not trying to make them look exactly like they did in the video game. Also, with animation you can usually get away with more violence than you could using real actors. However I would not want the animation style they used in the video game. It looks great in small doses but I don't want to be stuck with another Final Fantasy: Spirits Within.

I think howwever it's a very bad idea make MK a cartoon show(ok CG is not a cartoon,but for me yes!I HATE DEFENDERS OF THE REALM),because a lot of people want to see realistic things,and with some good special effects(didi you forget the 80's splatter HOMEMADE movies of Joe D'amato,they are all low budget productions with great special effects!).
I want to see another Annhiliation with all characters,better fighting scenes,longer movie(two hours at least with serious dialogue lines and plot for each characters) and please bring back Cristopher lambert as raiden and Linden Ashby as Johnny Cage!

Thats not possible. That is the exact reason Why I believe it would be best to make it wit computer graphics. It should look no worse then PS3 graphix. It would look incredibly real but not quite real. Then they could do all kind of nice shit.

I agree that this would be really cool, especially if Midway jumped on the team and liked completely full time helped out, I mean, we're getting a huge game (MKA) in 2 weeks, they could take time off and create and incredible movie with Threshold and I wouldn't be upset if thats what had to happen you know? A great CG movie that looks like the intros to MKSM and MKA, that would rule and they could do so much stuff with no limitations and it wouldnt look crappy like it did in MK:Ann. This could reaelly be a cool idea, but I dont know if they would go for it, would be cool though. ........peace
