Title: Mortal Kombat 3: Devastation

Story:

After successf defending Earthrealm twice in a row, the fate of Earth appears to be sealed for the ways of good...

But little do Earth's warriors realize that the defeat of Shang Tsung and Emperor Shao Kahn was planned for the true Devastation of Earth Realm.

Directly after the defeat of Shao Kahn and his generals(Ermac, Motaro, Sindel), Shinnok was banished to the Nether Realm for breaking the acred rules of Mortal Kombat. This was all planned though...

Shinnok met with Sorceror Quan Chi and the other "dead" sorceror Shang Tsung. The "Death" of Shang Tsung and Shao Kahn was planned so that the Earth Realms portals would be temporarily weakened because of the magical rebuilding process of the realm. Using an Ancient amulet that Shinnok possessed thanks to the help of he now dead Lin Kuei warrior, Sub Zero, Shinnok, Tsung, and Quan Chi escaped back to OutWorld...

With the help of he combined powers of both Quan Chi and Shang Tsung, they ressurect Shao Kahn by unlocking the mysterious "Soul Nado" which is an endless supply of souls extending from the Heavens to the Nether Realm. By doing this, they temporrarily destroy Earth Realms already weakened shields.

Shang Tsung and Quan Chi pull souls from the Soul Nado and use them to devastate Earth realm. Shao Kahn selects one person to lead the Soul Nado army, and he is:

Rain: General of the Soul Nado army. Though killed by Khan, he was ressurected due to his powers to manipulate water, and has a strong understanding of Earth Realms terrain.

Though, thinking the Earth Realm was safe, Raiden knew all was not well...Immediately after his death at the temple by Shao Kahn, he was ressurected at Kahn's defeat and was immediately induced as the New Elder God, taking Shinnoks place. He only served very little time as Elder god and relinquished his status, trading for information on what was happening. The Elder God council told him that the invasion by Shao Khan immediately after the MK tournament was a set up. Shao Kahn was ressurected, as well as Shang Tsung, and Quan Chi and Shinnok from Earth Realm. He was then told that the gateway from Heaven to Neather Realm, the Soul Nado was opened to destroy the barriers Earth Realm. 3 souls were taken(Rain, Shao Kahn, Shang Tsung) and resuurected for the forces of evil. He was then told that Raiden could take 3 souls and do the same. Raiden thought long and hard and decided to take:

Ermac: Former General of Khan's army. Composed of thousands of souls and has extreme untapped powers such as the ability to manipulate Rocks and was also Telekinetic. The perfect match to fight former comrade Rain.

Kabal: Killed by Rain. 2 very distinctive hook swords, and knows much about Martial Arts.

Johnny Cage: Hollywood actor. Killed Prince Goro in Mortal Kombat, but was immediately killed at the beginning of Shao Khan's invasion of Earth Realm. Amazing ally.

Raiden ressurected his 3 choices and sent for Liu Kang, Jax Briggs, Sonya Blade, Kitana, Sindel, and Sub-Zero.

Liu Kang was the first to arrive. He also knew earth couldn't be safe. He was very surprised to see Cage, and was happy to have him back. The rest shortly arrived, and Sonya was ecstatic, but was scared at the fact that the man she watched die at Khan's hands was now among the living. She was also scared at the fact that Ermac was helping them out...but Ermac assured that he was out to kill Rain and finally have eternal peace.

Raiden, Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade, Kitana, Ermac, Kabal, Jax, Kitana, Sub-Zero and Sindel all set out destory the Soul Nado deep in the heart of OutWorld, and stop the inal Devasation of Earth Realm....

I'd actually like a loose adaption of MK:DA. I'd cut out alot of characters though. More characters equals less time for proper story development. In my story Quan-Chi would bring back Shang Tsung. They both kill Liu Kang which would prompt Kung Lao to seek revenge. Sub-Zero also would be seeking revenge against Shang Tsung for enslaving his brother which led to his defeat and death (the original Sub-Zero) Johnny Cage would be brought back to life by Raiden since Cage has dealt with Tsung before. Cage and Raiden would both be acting as mentors to Kung Lao and Sub-Zero. But Cage would actually be able to physically help them where Raiden can not. (Raiden is a freakin god. If he were allowed to participate physically it'd be over as soon as it began) On the other side we'd have Quan Chi, Shang Tsung, Reptile and Reiko. After Shao Kahn was killed in part two Reiko took his place. Reptile would be loyal to him, plus he'd control the remaining armies of Outworld. Both Tsung and Chi would see him as only a pawn. Scorpion would be a wild card in the movie. He'd help whichever side he thinks will benefit him the most. There would also be a real fight between Scorpion and Sub-Zero. If none of this makes sense I apologize. I haven't had much sleep. z:o

Although I do enjoy both versions, my preference is that Shao Khan is dead and Kitana has the claim for the throne to outworld, after announcing this they recieve word through Raiden that Quan Chi, Shang Tsung, Reiko, Rain, Ermac and Mavado have other ideas. Earths warriors Liu, Sonya, Scorpion (seeking revenge after finding out who truly killed his family) Kung Lao, Kitana, Jax battle. You could include the Soul Nado idea and expand upon it. With the right actors this film could be better than the first

Mortal Kombat: Bloodlines

"Mortal Kombat is not about death, but life. Mortal men and women defending their own realm against the forces of evil. Twice, already, that has proven true, as Earth's warriors, led by Mortal Kombat Champion Liu Kang, have successfully defeated the machinations of both sorcerer Shang Tsung and his master, the Outworld Emperor Shao Khan.

However, these victories did not come without consequence. Many of our allies have perished in the battles, and even the Heavens were betrayed by one of their own. That traitor, the former Elder God Shinnok, had conspired with Shao Khan to ressurrect his long-dead wife, Sindel, on Earth so he may merge it with his own kingdom. For his blatant disregard for the laws set in Mortal Kombat, and his abandonment of Earth to its enemies, he has been banished to the Netherealm. However, that proved to be a mistake...

A Netherealm sorcerer, Quan Chi, has released Shinnok from his confines and, as planned, has created a permanent gateway between the Netherealm and Outworld. With a legion of Oni demons at his disposal, and the portal between the two realms disrupting the balance among the other realms, it would be a matter of time before Earth is weakened enough for Shinnok to exact his revenge and reshape the realm to his will.

As an Elder God, now, I cannot help you in this battle. I have appointed Fujin, my friend and ally, to lead you against Shinnok and his army. With his son dead and his power stripped away, there is no knowing how far Shinnok will take his anger.

You must stop him. I will do all I can, but you must fight him in my stead.

We cannot let my tainted Bloodline succeed in drowning the realms in their crimson chaos..."

Brilliant, absolutely brilliant, but really Raiden should take a better role in the film, he relinquishes his status as Elder God and mentors the characters along with Fujin. A defection by Fujin (would be a nice twist) leading to a Raiden Fujin battle before the main fight. However it cannot be done simultaineously with any other fight otherwise that would ruin it.

True, but in my storyline, Raiden did say that he would do everything he could to help them. Maybe, sometime during the movie, he'd butt heads with the other Elder Gods with helping Liu and the others to the point where he does relinquish his Elder status.

I can't really see a battle between Fujin and Raiden, or Fujin defecting (the dude's loyal to Raiden, so it's unlikely), but it's possible. Maybe, after Raiden's decision to give up being an Elder to help his friends, Fujin would mistake that as a sign that the Thunder God's turning to 'the dark side' like his father, Shinnok?

Other than that, I'm glad you liked it.

Actually, how about this for the Raiden/Fujin twist (plese be gentle): After Raiden learns about Shinnok's return, he order's Fujin to take his place and lead Earth's warriors against the fallen Elder God. Fujin refuses at first, and starts arguing with Raiden. In this argument, it's revealed that, before the events of MKA, Raiden learned about Shao Khan's plan to conquer Earth using the resurrection of Sindel (but not knowing about Shinnok's involvement in it) and relayed this info to the Elder Gods. Not wanting Raiden to fight against his brother and possibly getting killed in the process, Shinnok convinces the other Elder Gods to disguise Fujin as Raiden and send him down to lead Earth's warriors. Of course, both Raiden and Fujin opposed this plan, but were overruled by the Elders. When Raiden went back to 'discuss' Shao Khan's breaking of MK's rules after sending Liu Kang and the gang elsewhere, he switched places with Fujin and had the Wind God take his place. Of course, after Shinnok's betrayal was made clear, Fujin (as Raiden) died and brought back to life by the other Elder Gods, and Raiden, being Shinnok's surviving heir, took his place as an Elder God. Naturally, Fujin had never forgiven either the Elder Gods or Raiden for the plan, but since they still ranked higher in the Pantheon than him, he had to acquiesce to Raiden't request. Raiden, on the other hand, was still pissed at Shinnok's manipulation of the other Elders to keep him from dealing with his bloodline himself and, during the events of MK:B, begged the Elders to let him finally deal with it. Naturally, the Elders refuse, noting that Raiden is now one of them and, as such, cannot interfere. Enraged, Raiden relinquishes his status and condemns their actions, vowing to take them down after Shinnok is dealt with. Meanwhile, Fujin, still pissed off at Raiden and the Elders, is at the breaking point after leading Kung Lao and the gang (he fails to save Liu, who's killed by Quan Chi earlier in the movie). So, when Raiden finally shows up, Fujin automatically thinks it's another plot by the Elders to use him as a decoy again or worse, and slugs the Thunder God, sparking a battle that would trump even the Liu/Shang Tsung battle in the original MK movie. Somehow Kung Lao's able to stop the fight before the two gods kill each other and, after he learns about Liu's death, Raiden order's Fujin to take the gang back to Earth so he could deal with Shinnok himself, like he should have done during MK:A. Kung Lao manages to convince him otherwise and, after learning of Raiden's defection from and threats against the Elders, he and Fujin finally make ammends. I know, it seems like a crappy plotline, but I think it'll better explain Fujin's place there, why Raiden looked so different between the first two movies, and it'll be a nice opportunity to have Christopher Lambert and James Remar back in the same movie (Lambert as Raiden, of course, and Remar as Fujin).
