That vega-like Rain is awesome! Why didn't they use it instead of the rather boring ninja in MK9?

Yes, but only if he's actually part of the storyline this time around.

I liked how his MK9 story portrayed him as a flip-flopper, and I'd like that to be a major part of his character. If Daegon also comes back, then both he and Rain should interact with one another in the story mode.

I'd also like his "upside-down" fatality to return, as I thought it was hilarious.

As for the people who say he's a joke character and shouldn't return because of that, here are two other fan favorites who started out as jokes: Ermac, and Noob Saibot. So Rain is a Purple Rain pun. Ermac was a glitch, and Noob, well, it's pretty obvious what he was in the beginning.

It wouldn't make sense if they don't put Rain in this game, if only as a cameo... He would want the throne of outworld for himself.

Rain is more a Vega/Gaston from Beauty and the Beast type character. Very full of himself, very narcissistic, but very handsome. I mean he could be gay, but I don't really see it.

Rain is actually the only fanboy favorite whom I support as well. Never made sense to me that he was left out the MK9 initial roster.

That being said he will always be a victim of the "Bigger fish to fry" syndrome. Seems also, that he'll only appear if all the other original ninjas are there as well. So if it means we need Noob/Smoke in the MKX roster to see Rain as well, then I'll pass. I'm way over the ninjas now. The current foursome we have right now is where it should stop.
