In a game that she doesn't have to be in, no less! She's only ever been in Armageddon (where everyone is there) and MK9 (where every classic was there) Please make that woman play different from Goro and be a more Nimble grappler/striker character than he was in X and she was in 9.

There's a teeny tiny glimmer of hope in me that wants to believe those "Athena" characters are deeply hidden secrets (possibly not even patched in yet) which is why they're not included in the recent DLC leaks hacked from the switch, but I know that's very likely delusional (and I'm the guy that posted that in the other thread for the record, after someone else posted it on Reddit)...

I've seen nothing to substantiate it since it was originally posted. Could very well just be made up. Hasn't gained nearly as much traction as the DLC hacks from the switch. Hopefully now that the PC version is downloaded, people start ripping the game files apart and we learn more.

More characters! I just dream of a world with more characters! lol... I know it's a flimsy dream, but it's a dream nonetheless.

On the guest characters: I assume Ash being in means they got Bruce Campbell for the face scan and voice. There's no way they'd do it without him. I'm guessing Joker will be the Injustice version and Richard Epcar is already voicing Raiden in this game.

My questions are about the other two. Will Spawn be voiced by Jamie Foxx from the upcoming movie or by Michael Jai White? MJW has a history with MK but I could see why McFarlane would want the new Spawn actor doing it for cross promotional reasons. And does "The Terminator" mean the T-800/Arnie version? I would assume so. And does that mean they actually got Arnold friggin' Schwarzenneger to do the voice? Or will it just be the metal skeleton with a robotic voice?

Sheeva's gotten the shaft for years. Going back to her being the only character cut out of the console versions of UMK3.

I always liked her. Frankly I like her better than Sindel & Nightwolf. But as I've said in reference to Mileena & Nitara (my favorite characters before) I tend to like female characters and monster characters, so it's no surprise I enjoy one that straddles the middleground. ANYWAY...

Yeah, she's one of the names dropped so far that I'm most excited about because she's one of the ones that's most surprising. I love to see the underdog characters get a second chance.

What exactly makes everyone think Ash is not Ashrah?

It better be Arnold Schwarzenneger- otherwise they wasted their time and money. The Terminator as a brand has been struggling to stay afloat for years now with half-baked movie after half-baked movie- each determined to successfully reboot the franchise but failing miserably.

If NRS didn't land Arnold's face, voice, and entire being for this- then they have truly made fools of themselves.

Because no one's else's names are shortened in those files. Why would her's be?

Also, Ash is from the same horror/Action/slasher pool as Freddy, Jason, Alien, Predator and Leatherface. He'll play to the same crowd.

I wouldn't count that chicken before it's hatched tbh. They made an original version of Freddy Kruger for 9. Rather than pay Robert Englund (which nearly everyone would have preferred). It wasn't even strictly the Jackie Earl Haley version, though it had more in common with that version.

That said, they have a bigger budget and better tech now, so I don't think it's impossible they got Bruce either. They might have. Fingers crossed.

It will frankly make or break the character for me. Assuming they got Bruce, I'll enjoy it immensely, and I'm eager to see his intros with the entire cast. If it's a generic Ash with a generic voice actor however, I'll be soured on it immensely. Whether or not I think this is a good idea or a bad idea hinges on his inclusion.

Do it right or don't do it at all imo.

Also intro dialogue for these characters is allegedly being hacked out of the files now... and... the dialogue suggests it's Ash and not Ashrah.

EDIT: Oh and to address another question brought up above, the Terminator talks in the intro dialogue, suggesting it's Arnold and not a generic T-800 Endoskeleton. (Or at least... a talking Terminator? Nothing actually suggests it's Arnold... one would just assume? But anyway, it does have dialogue. According to the leaks.)

Don't get me wrong, I like Ashrah and would love her back- but she's not such an obvious choice- especially when there's so many other characters for her to compete with. Namely, Sareena and Li Mei.

Alright, I have now downloaded the game file people are getting this info from (I don't have the game, but the file is out there, and you can open it in Notepad) and OOOOOOHHHH yeah... this thing is packed full of a metric ton of intro dialogue for each character. Not to mention tons of other coding. There's no way someone faked this. There's too much. It would have been far too tedious...

You can then open the file in Notepad. For intro dialogue, search things like, vs_NIT (for Nightwolf) or vs_SPA (for Spawn) etc...
