Or is it just my luck this morning? You know when you find someone online and have like 20 sets back to back against them, good, fun games, good connection? Where are those people? First it takes ages to find a guy with good connection and when you do they don't accept. If they accept they have 1 match and leave. Or they are one of those who do fatality every single game.
I played 6 matches this morning against 6 different opponents. I lost them all of course. 2 of them quit after 1 game, the other 4 did a fatality after 1 game so I left. I got to mention that I play on wired, conneciton was good and I was playing Raiden. That's right. RAIDEN! Not only he is one of the worst characters in the game, I suck with him too. I'm 0-11 with him yet people still leave or have the impression that I deserve a fatality after 1 game. Is it Raiden? Do people hate Raiden or something? Because I don't face as many opponents like that back to back when I play other characters. I just don't get it.
Raiden is far, far from the worst character in the game. You just have to know how to properly use his specific moves. He’s not combo-heavy, but you can still do a ton of damage with him. For example, amplifying storm cell leaves you with various options for juggle.
If you’re on the Xbox One, I’d be down for some matches.
Well, Raiden being bad wasn't even my point but all right, we can talk about that too. I think he definitely is much closer to the lowest tier than he is to the top. Yes his damage is good but it's not easy to get it. What exactly do you do in neutral? Spam F3 which is not hit confirmable? Spam B12 which is unsafe? Ending strings with storm cell which is safe but ends with a high so if they know that makes it very unsafe? Both his low and overhead are so slow that are even reactable.
I really can't see why some people think Raiden is good. And pretty much every tier list I've seen, he is near the bottom. I mean, I don't believe in tier lists I see online but if I had to make one myself, Raiden would be very low imho.
Oh, word? I didn't know Storm Cell was a high and could be low profiled.
@AgentK Macklin Boi on XBONE. I have a lot to learn here.
I wasn't trying to make this about Raiden, just letting it be known what moves I currently can't stand. I'm having difficulty with Reborn Scorpion as well.

Sounds like you may just have to accept that you might get a fatality done on you in Mortal Kombat, and continue fighting the people that don't bail on you. If everyone quit after 1 fatality, nobody would be playing more than 1 match against each other.
Why play Mortal Kombat if fatalities bother you so much? There are a lot of super fun fighters that dont have fatalities

Because it's a kasual match. Watching a fatality is nothing but a waste of time after you've seen them all so many times. And because of that i can only imagine that they do it because they are disrespectful, toxic and just want to piss me off. That bothers me, not the fatality itself. And why do I need to put up with that in a kasual match? I understand if it's ranked, not in kasual though.
everybody thinks fatalities are disrespectful lol...... They collect hearts for the krypt and they are hard to come by so expect to get mercy and then fatalitied every game by me with a chance of brutality whenever i can. If you are leaving after 1 game and they are leaving after 1 game as well, then why are you bitching about 1 game leavers if you are doing the same damn thing to the people who are staying? makes no sense, and Raiden has that teleport in every game and it makes him broken in every game...... he is far from Low tier and his tier list has been going up every few weeks as ppl learn him. Hes always been tricky. I think Dvorah is the worse character.

Because I have a logical reason. They don't.
You are all playing some tough guys here on the forum and yet you are all probably the same. Who the hell likes to be fatalized every single game. Just stop already...
It may be a story you are telling your self.
When ever I do fatalities, it's for the soul reason of tradition. I am in my 30s, and backn in the Arcade days fatalities where mostly just a show off move. Not disrespect. Things like Babalities or Friendship (that required you not to block) where the disrespect because of the nature of the move's execution.
It would be healthier to assume the people who allways do fatalities do them either out of habbit, celebration, maybe they have friends over and they are trying to be entertaining, or they just love fatalities. I think "Mercy" and "Brutalitesis" are intended to be the "disrespect" mechanics of this game.
I think you will have more fun and be much happier if during moment of ambiguous information (i.e. fatalites can be for fun, habbit, celebration , or disrespect) assume the positive unless they guy gets on the mic and says "boy i kicked your ass, fatality bitch."
I stand by what I said before. There are a lot of amazing fighting games. If you feel like Fatalities are a waist of your time, play some game that does not have them. Fatalities are a tride and true tradition in MK and they will be a constant. If you dont get the appell, it's ok, but perhaps MK is just not the fighter for you
I would agree with everything if we were talking about Ranked matches, not Kasuals.
I think it's the opposite. That Fatalities are disrespectful and the other 2 aren't. Brutalities add so much especially if it's not just the throw one but if you do them of a combo. At least that's creative and something you don't see all the time. And for Mercys it depends. If you bodied someone and then Mercy then yes, that could be considered disrespectful. But if you play Kasuals and have some good and close matches, Mercy gets completely different meaning. There's no other meaning for Fatalities. You've seen it thousands of times. There's only 1 thing I can think of when you do a Fatality every single KASUAL game. Either that or you are doing them for heads/stage towers. I don't have time for that...there are much faster ways to farm them if you really want them and it's not online.
Speaking of other games, I would like to play something when I need a break from MK11 but with exception of SamSho, I think it might be a bit late to get into something like SFV or Tekken7. Or am I wrong? Are there any noobs/beginners still playing those?
