Original Story: Balance has been restored with the announcement of Evo Online: a digital replacement for this year's cancelled 2020 Evo World Championship in Las Vegas. The event will include four online open tournaments, including Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath! Watch the trailer:

Mortal Kombat 11 was a shock omission from the original Evo 2020 lineup, but needs have made necessity of the online fighter, which was announced alongside Killer Instinct, Them's Fightin' Herds, and Skullgirls 2nd Encore. This comes with the removal of Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

Evo 2020 was cancelled at the start of May as a result of lockdown measures imposed by the COVID-19 global pandemic. The online replacement event will take place over five weekends in July, with sign-up information still to come.
