I’m hoping for at least half the roster... They GOTTA have a few secret fighters in this one.

Secret fights like in MK9 was amazing too. They should do that again! :D

If there is not more than 12 characters revealed at the event I will be highly upset. I want to be sold on the roster at first impression. I haven't preorded the game yet because I want to be sure my characters are in this time.

Honestly, the less the better.

Just give us Scorpion, Sub-zero, Raiden and a new character. Add Shao Kahn maybe

For the rest I want to find out the roster bit by bit. Throw some real hint about the characters in the roster but avoid to reveal them.

I want a lot of of surprises like Zombie Liu Kang in MK Deception.

The latest installments were devoid of any surprise and secret a month before release.

At least 12 characters plus the different game modes. If they are doing an event at the scale thats going to be simultaneously cast from LA and London then they better bring there big things. I'd be dissapointed if the content shown is like how it was for BFV & BO4 & Destiny 2 reveal events.

The more the better. I want them to surprise me with brave roster choices and the revamp of beloved 3D era characters.

I'm tired of their teasing, leading to the annoyance and disappointment of getting more of the same classic heroes and new characters soon to be retired. I don't want to see and hear anything about Sonya, Kano, Cage, Quan Chi, Liu Kang... Do they have to "reveal" Sub's in the game, too?

Give me more Havik, Li Mei, Sareena, etc.

I'm indifferent to new characters because of their tradition dating back to the Midway era. I mean, nobody wants to fall in love with a character that is destined to be just a one game deal.

according to the newest "leak" 10 kharacters will be shown at the reveal .

They will probably show a video about the story like the first story trailer with the introduction of the new babies, which will have more than will be playable. For MKX it showed Rain, Sindel and Baraka. My guess is they will do the same and throw a lot of people off by showing a character that looks really cool and will either be a NPC or just a story appearance. Just like they did with Fujin.

For the actual roster they will have around 8-10 classic fighters aside from Raiden and Scorpion and 1-2 new ones. I hope they show a roster with just the playable ones, no silhouettes with things to throw us off and has a mix of MK trilogy and 3D era as well as maybe one or two MKX newcomers. There will be some footage of Shao Kahn and the boss (Onaga), but not playable. My guess is we will see playable:

Raiden, Scorpion, Shang Tsung, Liu Kang, Kitana, Sub-Zero, Kenshi, Takeda, Johnny Cage, Cassie & Kotal Kahn + a male and female newcomer. I doubt they will reveal Oracle right away, it's better if she stays a mystery for a bit longer.

That seems like a decent amount. I don't think I would want any more than that.

Hopefully they reveal the rest of the roster gradually, like one or two kharacters a week until launch. Or maybe less. I wouldn't mind having a couple of surprises left on the base roster when the game drops.

That newest "Leak" says there's a Mokap character named Mike on the base roster. Yeah, I don't buy that at all and also slots Noob as DLC. DLC doesn't usually have story impact *Aside from Tanya and Bo in MKX* - but man that would be a bummer.

Also, I'm thinking we get 8. 4 Returning and 4 new (That could also mean returning 3d Era Characters, because God knows the Esports folks have NO idea who half the 3d characters are.) So you could theoretically see Scorpion, Raiden, Sub, Kitana, New, New, Fujin, Havik or something of the sort.

I don't have my hopes too high, but they really are making a big event of this and they hadn't done anything like that before so that's new.

On the day of the reveal, they will three months before the release of the game. That is 13 weeks which is not a long time at all. I am guessing they will reveal about 6-8 characters at the reveal event. They have really condensed the marketing schedule of the game so hopefully we will not see any droughts of information like with prior NRS releases.

I’d say we’ll get around...8-12 reveals. Tyler Lansdown has insinuated that Kombat Kasts will be returning, so they’re gonna hold on to a chunk of the roster to drip feed us through to release.

I think 6 is about where I want to see it (plus scorp and raiden). Maybe throw one or two more obvious choices like sub or liu kang and then room for a few surprises. The mkx reveal came out strong with a few brand new characters in loyal, devorah, and F/T all revealed pretty much right away and I would love to see a new character or two.

Dont think i would want to see more than 10 because i wouldn't have time to appreciate each one as an individual and it wouldn't leave as many for the news cycle to come. I also dont think less than 4 would be satisfying so somewhere in that range

I think they show 8 Kharacters inclusive Raiden and Scorpion. I am pretty sure they revealed Shang Tsung. The roster also gonna show Sub Zero, Cassie Cage, 3d MK Kharacter (like Fujin or Li Mei), Shao Kahn and a new one. Hear my words ;-)

Really? Well since they've never done this before, there must be a reason why and they have to do something spectacular, so I'd say they cannot just do a few. The roster might be really big, since the foundation was laid by MKX technology wise and looking at the screens they have just expanded upon it a bit. If Kombat Kasts are a thing, they could do possible 1 character every week to 2 weeks for 12 straight weeks and sometimes more like the Shaolin and Cage family trailers. This means roughly 10-15 characters. I'd say 10 would be very solid.

considering the beta starts when ? march ? if so wont all the kharacters be revealed at that point ? if so we might see a big number of kharacters at the reveal . just something i was thinking about as that leaves not alot of time to show of the rest of the kharacters

Taking into consideration that the game is coming out in April then i'm expecting atleast 8-12 characters shown and enough meat left on the bone for Kombat Kast

Yeah if they’re holding an event of this nature, then my guess is that we’ll see a lot. The thing I’m most curious about is what we’ll be seeing and how much time will be allotted to each item.

If it’s a half hour, and a significant amount of time is dedicated to what’s new in the fighting system, the gear system, the basic premise of the story, online features and modes, then it’s conceivable that this reveal isn’t going to be largely character focused to the extent that we see ten or twelve characters or half the roster etc.

Still, I can’t see them revealing two or three characters and calling it a day. I know we’ll have the same reveal method as before, but with such a small lead-in time before launch and with such a large event planned that we’ve never really seen before from an MK game, my guess is that we’ll see Scorpion, Raiden and Shao Khan fighting in-game.

After that, I think they’ll give us the three most obvious characters in Sub-Zero, Liu Kang and Kitana. I think they’ll also introduce two new characters, one of which will be the woman from the reveal trailer.

Somehow, that even feels a bit light, but I’m keeping my expectations in check. I’m looking forward to this and I don’t want to come out of it all bummed because I set the bar too high.

One thing I really would like to see though is some sort of plan laid out for when characters are revealed like a “cone back every Monday at 2pm CT to see the next character” type of deal. I think that would be fun.

Someone mentioned hidden characters. Man, I’d love to see those return! Hidden fights, hidden unlockable characters... Bring it in, NRS!

We'll probably be seeing a lot more than actually on the roster - for now - since people will have a chance to play. It will be limited to 10-12 max, less more likely. I just hope for at least one of the characters that most of us want and or do not expect. Baraka, Havik, Fujin, Ashrah, Hotaru, Onaga, Noob Saibot. Any of these will do!

i think maybe 5 for main roster info on dlc and at least one mode with custimizing armor if rumors are legit

I'd be happy with 10-12 characters being shown including Raiden and Scorpion. They will still have a few months to do reveals during streams like they did with MKX.

Considering that it’s less than 4 months until release (which is fuckin crazy), I expect no less than 8-10. It seems like it’s gonna be a pretty packed event, can’t wait to see what’s in store. Just hope for at least one of my characters to get me hype as I’ve been kinda wary about the game lately.
