Maybe it's the lighting, but that guy's face looks nothing like Bo. The outfit does however, look in line with his style.

I agree with the "that's not a gut" assessment.

Looks like one of these mounted to the top of the railing... which somewhat fits the construction-y setting...

That would be a ridiculously large light -- at least half the size of a human torso, with a diameter to match -- mounted on what is, again, a skinny metal railing. This interpretation makes only very slightly more sense than the safety cone.

But let's just say that I'm wrong about that one detail and there really is an object nonsensically perched on that railing for some reason -- which is possible. Forget the "gut" then, and look at the size of the man's torso, legs, and head, all of which contribute to the silhouette and consistent proportions of a man with a large gut.

Enhance.

He isn't even musclebound or barrel-chested: all of his outlines round out about the middle. His cheeks fill out his face beneath the beard. He's fat. Even if he really is standing behind something, he is still fat.

So... if it's Bo', what's he doing here? If it's not Bo', then he might still be important: Counterintuitively, people who are just standing in a pose, quietly existing in the background and doing nothing, tend to be important characters -- while random bystanders tend to be doing something interesting to give a sense of life and purpose to the space.

If it's just an insignificant background dude who's not worth splitting hairs over though, then I kinda like Bloodfang's idea.

I'd argue "It's called foreshortening dude" ... BUT... on further scrutinization... I do now think it's a part of the guy, not part of the railing. As the foreground shifts to the left and right, it stays pretty centered in front of the dude. If it were part of the fence, it would move with the fence. Notice on the screencap below, the cone-lamp-gut is to the left of the vertical bar in the fence, wheras in the screenshot above it's to the right of the vertical bar. If it were fixed to the fence, it would always be in the same spot relative to the vertical bar...

That said... this dude doesn't look like anyone important to me. Probably just a background shlub watching the fight. I mean look at the Black Dragon Bar stage, it has tons of background shlubs watching the fight.

I'd argue "It's called foreshortening dude" ...

If you had argued that, I might have replied, "You realize that foreshortening is not going to have a very pronounced effect on two objects placed very few inches apart, way in the background of the stage, right? You can still do a fair size comparison here."

BUT... in light of recent developments, this line of investigation has been rendered more or less moot anyway.

And I'd argue he's a few feet back, not a few inches. But. Again, moot.

(This non-argument we're having amuses me for some reason, lol)
