MK Kreate a Fighter return? Yay or Nay?

I mean really? Swords, Axes and hammers only? What fun was that? I remember when it was first announced there would be a KAF in MKA I got work work thinking about characters I'd make. I'd have loved to create a sai fighting character and a staff fighting one... then got to thinking about dual wielding characters. Only to be completely disappointed when it was released and we got boring swords, axes and hammers only.
Now I know things are very different now and people just don't have weapon styles anymore...rather their weapons are worked into their variations. However that could work too. I'd assume if there was a KAF, we'd be able to make the three variations and one of them can be based on a character's weapon. Reaching a lot, I know... but however unlikely, it is fun to think about right?
Don't worry, I'm not deluding myself. I know this isn't going to happen...but What if? Right?

I wouldn’t be adverse to its return. However, we should not be able to create our own move sets. That has the potential to imbalance the game much like it did in Armageddon. I’d say have 4-6 pre-made move sets available showcasing different play styles. Easier to keep in check that way.
And if a player can’t find a style he/she would be happy with, perhaps allowing you to copy and paste an existing move set from an established combatant would be allowed. This of course means any buffs or nerfs that move set receives would apply to your character as well.

i do see it working if they did a dedicated MK1 or Dedicated MK2 or Dedicated MK3 game. for example within MK1 there was 7 suriviors and it was assumed that there was other fighters that had died. it will not be mortal kombat if no one ever dies.
of course Shao Kahn held a tournament within mk2.

No because having to fight someone's creation because they wanna show off their "original kharacters" would get old REAL quick.
