Weren’t we supposed to get a gift with this patch? 500,000 Koins? I think the rewards have been increased though in TOT. Watching my AI make me some money.

You get 2 extra heart for fatality (3), an 3 extra for brutality (+5) on wins

Plus an additional 3 hearts and 2 souls for performing a Mercy.

If you haven’t gotten it yet, close the game and restart it. You should get a message informing you to check your notifications to claim your loot.

I restarted my ps4 and didnt get them yet. I was under the impression it was in a second patch coming in, this doesnt look good anymore. Are you playing on ps4? EDIT: nevermind i got it thanks. After my player setting warning got deleted :/

I haven't played any towers with modifiers yet so no idea about the difficulty but rewards in general are so much better, I love it.

Is this patch also available for Xbox1? Because my XBox didn't patch anything right now :( Or where do I need to go to download the patch?

So far I'm not disappointed. Towers are definitely not as much of a pain

I got my gift today. You need to claim before the 6th May. Towers seem easier and reward higher Koins and Hearts. No change on Soul Fragments which is a bit mystifying since you need so many, especially if you want to forge Shinnok's Amulet to progress in the Krypt. I stupidly wasted so many Soul Fragments on openining jars and repairing the bridge. It will take me about another 900 wins to get the required amount for Shinnok's Amulet.

Yeah the amount of souls required for that is ridiculous! Didn’t realise I’d need so many so spent them repairing the bridge and opening items. I’d advise everyone to save them up when starting the Krypt

I have 9k souls. Is that a lot? Didn't need them for anything yet except kharacter specific towers.

About some modifiers, I thought unblockable rockets were supposed to be blockable after the patch?

You will need 10k souls to open the container and then another 1k souls to forge Shinnok's Amulet. You need Shinnok's Amulet to progress in the Krypt.

lol, fucking hell. This is why I haven’t even stepped foot in the krypt yet. I want to try to have the experience as uninterrupted as possible.

10000 dead wood soul key item, 1500 souls to craft shinnoks amulet, 3000 souls for the chest (skins) in the river of dead wood, 2000 souls for the brigde + the hundreds of 100 souls "chests". Yes, you need A LOT.

Yeah, Im not doing that. Hard pass. I havent played the game since Saturday, and have no interest to. Seems the patch fixes and "please dont leave" currency "gift" are not enough to address all the grinds in this dreadful game.

This is not so bad then. What about hearts? Is there anything that is more expensive than 250 hearts like those Shao Kahn chests?

It is much easier to get hearts now after the patch so it shouldn't be a problem either. It is grindy though but still. Survival mode on very easy, perfom mercy and then brutality. That's 8 hearts per game - 200 for whole tower. I think you can get it done in 30 minutes so 400 hearts/hour. If you are bored, why not. Also, 12 souls per game - 600/hour. Not bad.

It took me about 2 years to unlock everything in the Krypt in MKX (with breaks, I wasn't playing it every day), and honestly, I kinda wish there was more stuff to unlock. So to me, being 'grindy' isn't really an issue. I know that MK11 allows for more indefinite rewards, with things like Konsumables, but still, when it comes to game's actual one-time unlockables, like skins and concept art, I'm okay with it taking me a long, long time to unlock everything. It kind of reminds me of Deadly Alliance in that way (before I discovered that wager glitch that allows you to multiply your koins).

I am glad the patch made the rewards more generous, but I don't think they need to go above this, in terms of how much you get. I'll gladly keep playing and keep fighting for the next 4 years to unlock everything.

You need Soul Fragments to open soul containers which are a 100 soul fragments each and there are lots of them. You also need 2k Soul fragments to repair the bridge to get to a Shao Kahn chest. 3k for a sunken chest. Soul fragments are the most rare resource since you can only get 10 from a match

Letting AI like Noob beat the crap out of bosses with no op modifiers is another way to easily get souls/hearts. And rewards don't stop after 2nd or 3rd win. Maybe one is shit like 1k koins and some trash konsumables but the next one might again be 15 hearts. And then 5 and then again 15 and 15 souls, and again 15 hearts, even 50 souls etc. And fatalities.... Just letting AI do this for 2, 3hours while you do something else. Could easily get you 400 hearts and probably trice as many souls per hour or even more, depending on luck with rewards.
