Skarlet really did a 180 turn on me this installment. I really didn't care too much for her in MK9 for one reason or another. She didn't click with me. I feel NRS did such a good job with her redesign and moveset though and she's beginning to be my second most used character in 11.
I just hope this doesn't hurt a Nitara return in the possible future.
Yeah, I wasn't a big fan of her in MK9 either. But when I saw her redesign in this new installment and her new setup. I was pretty interested in trying her out. I used D'Vorah and Mileena a lot in MKX.
Than once I bought the Mortal Kombat 11, I started using Skarlet consistently, than I was sold by what she could do. But I didn't let that wall me off from using the other characters to. Once I did get a taste for all of the other characters combos and tried them out and was able to do some of their combos and Sub-Zero's freezing skills and earned Frost. I went right back to using Skarlet. With her I was actually able to win far more in the Living Towers than I did with Sub-Zero or Noob and don't get me wrong, those are good characters. But I wasn't as accustom to using them as I was using Skarlet.
I even put time into using Frost, but I just didn't do well with her at all and I had the want and desire to be really good with her in the game. But I just didn't succeed in the way I did with Skarlet's skill setup in the game.
And it's not because I'm just good with Skarlet, I just have always found her character very interesting since MK9. In MK9 I thought she was just another Mileena. But now they've changed the story to where she was just some poor orphan girl that was starving in Outworld and that Shoa Kahn took an interest in her and trained her as a deadly blood witch.
