Hah, this hat is amusing.

Well the fight against khronika is in her normal hourglass background. At 70% of her life she calls a kharacter, which has not much life, and the background change to this prehistoric thing. At 40% she calls another fighter and the background change to a ruin with blue and red light. Kronika isn't easy because you can't juggle her. She is just hovering over the ground and the only attack which let her fly into the air is an uppercut. This makes it diificult to do combos on her.

So maybe these beasts crawl out of that Pit in the other Kolleseum stage ?

Blue skin, white-gold costume... And both are masters of time. Interesti g hahaha

So I notice in a lot of the costume preview videos, pretty much all the revenents have a skin or two at the very end of their collections with a white and gold color scheme matching Kronika's aesthetic. Just a recolor of their normal revenent costumes... but for whatever reason, instead of appearing at the beginning of their costume tab with all the other recolors, it's separated out, all the way at the end...

Anyone have any insight into these, or know how they're unlocked?

Haven’t checked on how to unlock them but Kronika gives Jade, Kung and Kitana a little buff to protect her in the story.

Reading through this thread has made me 10x more excited for this game.

I saw a short video of Kitanas chapter. After the fight you get rewards. In this case it was Mileenas Sai so I guess moves/costumes will be unlockable through clearing story mode.

No moves, only gear

And I'm guessing the gear unlocked through story mode is static and only unlocked once, on the first playthrough. For instance, I doubt you could continue to unlock items for Kitana by repeating her story chapter.

Oh... and I have an interesting spoiler... Takeda has a wife. In the intro with Scorpion Jacqui mentioned that takeda has make a marriage proposal. So Jacqui is Takeda's wife now. At least in this timeline ;-)

Certainly possible considering we know at least 1 stage brutality exists, so far. There are also hyena creatures that enter that cage with a platform in the middle, and off to the right side is a hanging cage with a tiger-like creature. So many possibilities in this stage for brutalities, or fatalities, or the stage above it, as you mentioned.

On a related note, one of Kollector's weapons is titled Mileena's Brain, or Mileena's Mind.

JAde, Kitana, Kung Lao and Jax have two skins - you can unlock them via towers of time.

And I replayed the first chapter in story mode. You can only unlock the items in the first walkthrough. If you play the story again you get nothing :(

See Kung Laos ending

Well.. I saw Jacqui's Ending... and to be honest it is a great and sad one. Great idea to let the kharacter itself be the narrator. One little advise: do yourself a favor and play story first before you play arcade. Because the endings have a different impact then.

Finally I could also see Shao Kahns and Kollectors second. In contrast to you I really like Shao Kahns second. Maybe it is not his best one from all but pretty decent and brutal. And finally Kollector after seeing two pictures of this fatality (1. trophy 2. outro story mode) I could see a video... I think it is even better then his first one which I also like.

Overall this MK game has the best fatalities in the whole series even it got a lack from magic fatalities. There are only 6 from 50 fatalities which I think are lame. Pretty good testimony :D Only Kano is a real disappointment in case of fatality. NRS... Kano has a laser eye! Pls use it also in a fatality... hmpf. Well.. at least I hope for his classic MK3 fatality (eye laser).

Guys... I know many of you are hardcore fans. So maybe some of you jugding some dump decision when it comes to the story of MK11. But pls enjoy the story mode like I did. If you only see the last story from MK9 til now... it really makes sense for me. The presentation of the story is brilliant. NRS did an awesome job there. It's like Game Of Thrones meets The Avengers. I enjoyed every minute. And my favorite background is Shiray Ryu Fire Garden. It looks so beautiful! Even Samurai Shodown characters would love to fight there.
